Indian coast

Post by edscoot »

Has anyone any experience/advice about riding in India? I know safety is a real issue, but I was wondering about maintenance, tyres, fuel that sort of thing when I'm far from a city.

I'm going to take my full UK bike test in the next couple of months, and plan to go on a big long trip along the coast of India.

If you are going to ride in India, probably best to be on a Royal Enfield and on an organised trip.
For example: http://royalbikeriders.com/
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong

I thought about Bullets, maybe getting a wreck and doing it up so I know how to fix them. There's a Enfield specialist not far north of me in Langholm. I want to travel independently.
