Like the colour - although not sure it would stay looking that nice for long in the UK.

Wow, that's crazy. They actually charge by color? Yowza!
In the USA, we sometimes pay more for certain automobile colors (upgrade colors, they call them), like Super White, or Ultra Pearl, etc.
But not yet for bikes and scooters (that I know of)

Around $150.

But I was aiming for the white before I went to the dealer.

Salesman said blue is a Thai chick magnet. Wife gave me a raised eyebrow so I said I like white better + it's cheaper. NO contest .

It seems to me that if you wanted a blue one later on you could just buy blue replacement panels. Granted, the panels would cost more than $150, but you could collect the panels over time. I have seen pictures of pcx owners who changed out their white panels and turned their bike into a pretty red one. If you are comfortable with maintaining your bike yourself, you should be able to swap out panels to any color you want.
Currently own:
Red 2013 Honda PCX150

Givi tall windshield & tailbox - Lots of extra lights
Custom seat from Thailand - Bad Boy Airhorn
Takegawa Lowering Shocks - Michelin City Grip Tires
Headlight assy upgraded to LEDs w/HS5 main bulbs
NCY variator, drive face, and rollers

Harley Davidson charges extra for colors or custom paint unless you just get the basic version for your particular model. I remember when prospective buyers had to get on waiting lists to get their new Harleys because demand was outpacing production. Not so much these days. . .. Times have changed. Money is tight with younger buyers. :geek:

I'm not quite sure over there, but here you need to change the color specification on your scoot's registration paper every time you change colors. Quite a hassle if you ask me..

It is not clear why the blue color additional charges may more saturated, but for the little PCX bright colors visually enlarge it. On the white road dust and dirt is not so quickly visible, if black, you have to wash almost daily.

"It's All About That Black......"
True.
When it's time to buy a new truck or car my eyes always fix on the color Black. Why? Who knows. Wait! I do know. It's that deep shine after it's polished, a shine that You can see yourself in, a shine that you pat yourself on the back for as a job well done!
A shine that everyone else will notice in a park lot or as you're rolling down the road. A shine they want!
It's the BEST Shine Ever!

until.....

"They" (and, you know who "They" are), walk up and, and... TOUCH it!!! :x Fingerprints stuck on like decals, Arg! What to do, What to do....
Fall in love with another color. Sad, but easy fix :P

Never had a White or Black car/truck :( 2 Grays, 3 reds, 3 blues, 1 green, 1 beige
Bikes a different story: Orange, Candy Red, Blue, and 2 White

How did I get here? Why talk about Colors? Cause I likes 'em!

Because it is in demand, and not about saturation. I agree, fell inlove with white before I was even thinking of buying one.

Before buying the PCX for a long time was determined with color. Watched official website: http://powersports.honda.com/2018/pcx/colors.aspx and photos live. So only white (pearl white) gives the scooter Grand, solemn look. The driver on white PCX looks like a Prince on a white horse from a fairy tale, so to compare. But the colors are to everyone's taste, there is no unambiguous choice.
