Well Mr. WarFab... I have looked at the tuxedo tail on my 2015 PCX long enough. The unattractive extended billboard designed for European license plates has no place in American application... I don't like it anymore than you do.

Today I will take up my tail and get by. Your 'how to completely eliminate the 2015 PCX tail' publication is still coming I hope but for now this will have to do.

Any how wish me luck and have fun with your Ruckus assembly.

The propane torch if used carefully will give a finished look to the rough cut edge after you clean it up with a razor and sand paper. Practice on the scrap piece using a parallel angle to the flame never letting it actually get hot and you will see what I mean :D

You should set aside a couple hours for the whole process... ENJOY!

Nice work guys. I just got a 2015. I'll be poking my head around and seeing what I can do with the rear fender. =) Liking both ideas so far.

The only reason I did not go further into the removal was because WARFAB never showed us how. Now that I have done it my way and kept half the tail and reflectors I'm totally satisfied with the look and function. I will not do anymore to tidy up the tail on a 2015.

My fender chop...very similar to the one above, tucking the plate right up next to the reflector and used wood screws with a dab of goo on the back of the screw to keep if from backing out should it ever try to. Did not run the side reflectors like the post above. 11.1oz removed (almost 3/4 lb).

First pic you can see where I drilled the holes on both sides just below the reflector for the license plate.

Yep that's a nice clean job Scooterman... its the way it should be, brings balance and symmetry to the tail end of 2015 PCX.

Now what happened to your Honda logos? Are we ashamed of our maker? Everybody knows its not a Harley

Prev owner removed them. The "Honda" sticker above the license plate is $1.30...will prob order that next time I get a belt and stick it on there. Would cost me $60 to replace the "PCX 150" badges on the side though...will prob leave that the way it is.

That's goofy... did he offer to look around for the badges? I assume he didn't know where they were at the time of sale.

He said they broke when he took them off. I'm on the fence about them really. I guess they can stay off. But, at the same time, with so many cheap Chinese scooters out there, might be nice to rub it in to others that I drive a superior Honda!

You can feel good about this mod, drilling out the extra holes for the side refactors is optional but I want all the visibility I can get at night.

I took my reflectors off, but they'll go back on when the time changes next month. Right now, I only ride in the daytime and it looks cleaner without the reflectors. But, because of "wonderful" daylight savings time, it'll start getting dark before I get off work so the reflectors will have to go back on. I'd like to add some additional lighting, but I'm not sure how much longer I'll be keeping the PCX. I hope to get a good combo deal this winter with a Forza + NC700X.

HEY! WARFAB took a day off work, last post September 22nd :D Nice weld, I know how hard it is to run a bead like that on aluminum without a tig welder (tunston inert gas) you make it look professional.
Don't build us anything that rattles under any RPM please. There is a rash of mysterious noises, buzzing, rattling and vibrations making members crazy lately. Dealers saying they don't hear them or it's normal sounds on a scooter o_O So far nothing out of the unusual coming from mine.

Yeah mine has a noise too I think it's coming from the valve train I need to check my valve lash

You kind of need a tig to weld aluminum like this

How did you separated the "mud flap" from the license plate light?
I checked on mine and i haven't saw any screw holding it...

Can you help me?

Thanks
