Vololights Advanced Braking Indicator review

Post by honkerman »

Got mine by fedex today. Seems a good product, but does not work perfectly on the PCX. See blog post for review. There's also a video at the end.

Yeah, I have one also I put on my PCX about 2 weeks ago. It doesn't seem sensitive enough for a scooter - it only seems to go off when braking very hard. I'm going to try re-calibrating it while sitting on the bike to see if that helps...

Tailblazer light bulbs in three scooters and a CB500X.
Work great...simple install.

Looks like a flawed solution to a non existent problem. If you've lost the lever controlled light switch I don't think it would be legal in Europe.

Got an email from them stating that the highest sensitivity setting works on a deceleration of 1m/s^2.

I did recalibrate it with someone about my weight on the set me now it works as advertised.

I've got it set to Touring mode which is supposed to be the most sensitive. I need to recalibrate with my weight on the scooter...

Thx.

Posted a blog update with corrections based on what I've figured out the last couple days.
