Tunnel Bags and Tank Bags

Post by ms_sparky »

I'm looking for a bag to fit over the tank of my PCX150. I saw an older post about a Givi T455, which I like, but it's been discontinued. Any ideas?

The T496 fits reasonably well. It's in the video on this page: http://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=219

The T455 is a bit more snug of a fit, and for both bags, you'll have to move to open the seat fully or properly open the glovebox without shoving on the bag. The T455 stays in place without any mounts though, which is nice.

Thanks for the info! I saw that video, but wasn't sure how it mounted. It doesn't seem to need much to keep it in place. I ordered it from Revzilla. I'll post pictures when it arrives.

Considering your legs are on either side of it, it technically doesn't need anything. ;)

I mount mine by wrapping the carrying handle around the handlebars, with both clips around the frontmost loop. If that sentence doesn't make any sense and you can't figure out mounting it without adhesive or velcro or etc when it comes in, let me know and I'll take a few pics to make it more clear...

Tunnel Bags and Tank Bags

Post by ms_sparky »

I got the Givi T496. It fits perfectly. I used the small strap and secured it under the seat, though it really doesn't need to be. It doesn't look like it would go anywhere even without being secured.
Thanks for the help. :)

I bought it from Revzilla for $99 (U.S.) with free shipping, which arrived fast! It's exactly what I needed. ;)

Thanks for the side pic ;) Cool, it looks like a custom fit for the PCX! How did you secure it in place? Could a FF hat squeeze inside the bag? I ask because it will give me an idea of how roomy it is.

I secured it with the small strap under the seat. It's difficult to open the seat all the way, as the bag is in the way, but I can still open it more than half way.
I don't know how big the FF hat is, but the seat hump might make it a little tight. The inside of the bag is about 10" high, and 12" across at the widest point.

Good info, thanks for the pic 2! :P

Received the T455

Didn't bother with the velcro, just used the two short straps over the handlebars to secure it.

Comfortable commute the bag didn't move or intrude at all despite my weaving in and out of rush hour traffic. Nice size too, loaded a bundle of A4 documents about 60 pages, lunch and my office shoes. Even took my short boots easily when I was in the office.

You you and your your garage fetish! I don't recall seeing pics of your your garage...

And Whitenoise, it looks like your floor mat is doing a nice job of keeping the center stand and floor from abusing each other.

I am quite certain that the saddlebags and the tunnel bag mentioned in this video go by different model names in the UK vs. in the United States.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... fGfp3AG9sw
The tunnel bag mentioned as the Givi T496 seems to be the same as the Givi EA105 in the U.S.
http://www.givi.co.uk/soft-luggages/Scooter-bags/T496
http://www.giviusa.com/soft-luggages/Scooter-bags/EA105

The saddle bags mentioned in the video as the T492 in the UK seems to be identical to the EA 100 saddlebags in the U.S.

I ordered the EA105 tunnel bag from Amazon, and it arrived yesterday. The red Givi tag hanging from the bag showed it to be a T496.

I have not used it yet, but quality looks very good. It will be nice to be able to keep more items handy in front of me.
