HJC IS-17

Post by gn2 »

Treated myself to a new bone dome this week, an HJC IS-17 in plain white.
It came supplied with a pinlock insert, has a visor closing latch on the front and a pop-down sunshade.
Scotland being Scotland I have been able to try it out in a wide variety of conditions in a very short time.
Results are very favourable.
The sunshade works well in high and low sun.
Doubleglazed visor can be left shut all the time, it never mists up, not even in thick fog.
ECE and ACU certified, also has a five star rating from Sharp.
£140 from J&S
Recommended.

Thanks GN2. http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/ is a very good source of bike stuff for those in the UK - superb customer service, 360 day return if you change your mind, free returns on orders over £25. They have that helmet for £133 inc delivery - if it's not suited, free return.

I always try helmets on in the local shops then buy the one which fits best from the local shop if their price is reasonable.
I find this easier than deliveries and returns, its a p.i.t.a. having to trek to the delivery depot because the lazy sods won't knock a neighbour's door.

XL, fits OK under Forza seat in front section so should fit in rear but not tried it there yet.

Yes it does, but you have to have it width-ways and right at the back.

I like the IS-17, but I can't find it in 3XL around here. Enjoy though!

How's wind noise going down the road? Thinking about buying it for myself for a Christmas present or before next riding season
