I m from Singapore. I have also bought a variator for my PCX 150. I have installed it and it seems to have flat out about 110km/h.

Yes...it looks exactly like the stock one even has a Honda box and part number...Exchanging stock for stock will yield no diff results..

I was told it is custom made and modified using Honda parts in Bangkok. Performance feels smoother after using it.

From a closer look on the photo it looks like they just removed the roller stops...still not much of a top end from that mod. Should have just bought vario from Webike,it would have costed you a 1/3 of a price.. :|

oh. That's interesting. 1/3 of the price is really cheap. You got the URL of the product?

Mgalutia88 wrote:So what happened to the j. Costa test?

mine is a 125cc, coming up to 3 years old, 14,800km on the clock, standard air filter / exhaust, but J Costa variator fitted.

Down a long dual carriageway managed to get it up to 118kph (circa 73 mph) before the rev limiter cut in......

Went back home and got my camera, and tried again......unfortunately, the traffic had built up quite a bit and this time only managed 115kph (circa 71.45 mph).....

still not bad, but definitely my last time of "high speed" testing on the PCX....i'm 53, FFS....

Dave, do you think changing the variator and belt on our 150 would make much of a difference, or should we change to sliders also?

Nitrous does wonders but make sure you have metal sliders installed.

Twin turbos and/or a downhill stretch works wonders too.

My experience with my NCY variator on my PCX 150 was a change in top end from 65-68 MPH on a flat to 75 MPH on a flat 77 MPH down hill. I can cruise at 70-75 on a flat easily. My economy also increased by 10 % since I wasnt running at wot on the highway anymore. Heres where you can find it: http://www.jiangwayne.com/scooter/p_i.php?i=205
