PCX Christmas Decoration Ideas

Post by Teamtd11 »

My and the PCX will be taking part in a Christmas Charity fundraising event. Raising money for Zoë's Place Baby Hospice (http://zoes-place.org.uk/middlesbrough/)

For the event hundreds of bikers gather dressed as Santa and ride through the towns in the area. More info http://www.boundary500.co.uk/category/santa-ride-2012/

It's going to be my first time going, but I have been informed that its customary to decorate your bike if you are taking part. So i need ideas! The only one i have had so far is to get a cardboard box about the size of my topbox, wrapping paper ect... and turn it into a Christmas present :)

Kudos for you doing this for a worthwhile charity.

Only idea I can think of so far is get some toilet roll cardboard inserts wrap them up as Christmas Crackers, unwind your wing mirrors and have the crackers threaded over the stem and rebolt the mirrors....

Two Christmas Crackers with your wing mirrors sticking out the tops still for visibility.

You may also just find some Christmas Crackers already that would fit, some of the smaller ones, if you are careful enough dissecting them.

Be great around Xmas time if you could post pics of it on here all fully decorated up. :)

A big red nose or antlers would be cool.

Hah, that's awesome!

I'd put a wreath on the front, hook an inverter to my 12v socket, and wire up a whole bunch of xmas lights draped all over the bike. It might be precarious, but would be totally worth it. :P

Christmas past (stock screen). Let it snow! (somewhere else please :D ) Seen in pic are those "use on glass or any smooth surface" self adhering decals. Bought these at The Dollar Store, but they can be had at Target, Walmart, etc. I'm about to put some Fall leaves on my Givi :? before fall is over

Nice snowflakes :-) I think I might go down the lines of snowflakes and presents. It should look better with a simple well done theme than sticking everything Christmas onto the bike :-P

Do a full "Xmas Vacation" on the bike.

This is a great idea.

I hope we do something like this over here in the states. At Xmas you may be in 6 inch deep snow here in Illinois (land of Lincoln and Obama-absolutely no comparison there-and a whole bunch of folks who are not smart enough to move south to Atlanta!) :D

I think I'm going to leave the snowflakes on, Looks nice and festive :)
Overall I raised about £60 so far, 195 Riders took part so it should be a good total this year!

The new red 150 will be perfect for Xmas bashes! Good effort with your decorations and outfit. The trouble here is xmas is in our summer so not sure on wearing that outfit in 90 degree heat!
