It's like a little NC700X! With the NC getting 75+ mpg, I expect at least 80-85mpg out of that. I want one.

Currently ride: 2011 Honda PCX 125 - Upgraded windshield and seat, keeping this one mostly stock

My understanding is it will offer a out same mpg as the NC as it is not tuned for mpg like the NC.

One of the best bikes Honda have ever built.
I liked the facelifted Mk1 and the two-tone grey custom.

My CX500 was perfect for London commuting. I added a windscreen of course for all year round riding. Many motorcycle couriers used them too in the early 80's. Only issue was it was a pain in the butt fixing the cam chain tensioner. But having shaft drive was great. Are there any new light to mid range shafties around? I know there is the NT700 Dullville but its too heavy and those built in sideboxes will be damaged a lot.

I have a NC700X DCT. I am active on the NC700's forum. You would be lucky to get 75 MPG. most of us are averaging about 65-70 MPG (USA). Not bad.
The CB500 and the NC700 have the same power numbers the NC was designed for low RPM torque and high fuel economy. From what we have read and heard on the 500's it is a high performance DOHC parallel twin.
Both engines develop about 50 HP.
If you did not know, the redline for the 700's engine (670cc) is 6500 RPM! Feels like riding a v-twin Harley cruising around at 2100 rpm's. Smooth and quiet.
I plan on using my PCX for commuting to work, and the NC for everything else.

they never brought the NC700X into Oz, just the naked version and the integra. I will need to check out the CB500X as they are releasing all 3 here between March and May.

looks like the CB500 series has done away with the dummy fuel tank helmet storage and put the tank back there and instead provides underseat storage for gear but not a helmet.

Has anyone sat on this or the naked or RR version? I wonder if they are more comfy than the 700S thin seat? We wont see them here in Oz for another 2 mths.
