I expect the inclusion of the Cycle Shell is affecting the ability to dicker.
On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!

I completely missed the part about the cycleshell. Weird, seller should just try to do 2 transactions.

I got ignored again after a offer of 2k for the pcx alone with no cycleshell. I dont think that is an insulting offer.

When I bought my 15 Forza from the dealer I paid KBB value and a free oil and gear oil change.

I have mine listed at $2200 with trunk and windshield in my area and I haven’t had any bites. People expect them to be given away here.

Mine has about every possible upgrade on it but I doubt that I will ask more than $2,000 for it due to the fact that the 2020 bikes will be coming out soon, which would make it a 7 year old bike. I think there is a point where the bike price will stabilize no matter the year, but no one knows what that number will be. Supply and demand.

And here in the US, there is precious little demand (at least around here).

Yeah. Seller is kind of snobbish thinking he owns a classic. At least say how about a bit more. 2k is def not lowball considering I dont need the cycleshell.

I'd be curious to know if the engine oil and final drive gear oil were changed early on . . . around the 600 mile mark or so.

With over 4K miles on it and only one oil change mentioned I'd be concerned. It should have had an initial plus one more engine oil and oil pump screen service and be ready for the second final drive gear oil service (every 2 years).

Also the valves will be needing to be checked/adjusted. That's going to take a while and a boat load of patience to remove/replace panels without breaking anything.

Just a couple of things to think about. Also put the scooter on the center stand and see if you hear any weird noise coming from the rear hub. There's a part that they had problems with on the earlier PCX's. If I remember correctly it was called "Bearing, Face Driven" or something like that.

Other forum members can elaborate on that more. I didn't have any problems with it when I had my 2017. Here's a link to a thread here about it https://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7618

I would say let him keep his bike. He will find out the hard way that for the price there are other bikes on the market.

Here is one that is less.

Used vehicles are only worth what someone is prepared to pay.
If the "seller" won't accept what the market will give, he isn't going to be selling.
Would have thought americans would have that one pretty well nailed down by now?

Yes and no. If there is no pressing need to sell and yo have a perceived value below which an offer becomes an insult, then you wait. And maybe wait a long time, until someone appreciates your fine offering for what it is.

Or you eventually drop your price..... and piss an moan about it for months.

Too high for a 2nd owner machine that is almost 7 years old. I paid 3000 for my 1913 PCX and it had exactly 100 miles on the odometer--someone had bought it and immediately traded it back for a bigger bike. So...2500 is nervy. Just lie low and you will get a better deal by and by.

The asking is down to 2300 now from 2500 now. I did get an offer of 2250 more than a week ago as best selling price from seller.

I would go with this one: https://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/mcd/ ... 98082.html
Looks really good condition, hump-free seat, just serviced, new Dunlop Scootsmart tyres, new battery, its being sold by a dealer, (presumably there will be some sort of dealer warranty/consumer protection in US..?) what's not to like about all that lot?

I surf Craigslist every day. And I search all cities even as far as 600 miles away.
I bought a 2016 pcx150 in November of 2017 . Owner was asking $2200 I bought it for $2000 it had 1450 miles on it.
READ the reviews and updates to the PCX150 over the years.
I did, before I started looking for one. I decided that the 2016 with the latest updates WAS THE ONLY ONE WORTH BUYING.

Just last week there was a 2018 pcx150 with 236 miles on it for $2499, on Ft. Myers FL Craigslist.
Listed four hours prior to me seeing it on Saturday.
I contacted the seller immediately! It was on the up and up. He would sell if for $2400.
It was a 200 miles from me.
The next day I came across a 2014 Kymco People Gt300i for $1900 with 4400 miles on it it was 240 miles away.
I decided to get the Kymco, and I did, for $1800 (picked up in my truck)
Also just to let you know, the Pcx sold in 3 days. GOOD DEALS GO QUICK! YOU HAVE TO BE READY TO BUY IT FAST!
I have bought several motorcycles up to 1,000 miles away and took a bus or plane to get there, and ride it home.
Is the best deal, worth a little inconvenience in distance to get it?

Hello, my name is Russell, and I am addicted to motorcycles!
52 years of riding, and this Kymco is my 52nd motorcycle purchase.

I know I'm a little late to this party, but I purchased my 2013 PCX in March for $1,500. It had 673 miles on it and was in perfect condition. I'll be looking for another PCX next spring. Hope I find another deal.
