2013 PCX 150 matte black

Post by beowulf888 »

Just got it in Bangkok this past Friday. Very happy with it so far, will be looking for a rear box next, but want to shop around for one I like first.

A new colour scheme? Matte black should be clean -- i.e. dust not so visible and probably more scratchproof than a shiny black colour. I once had a shiny motorbike with lots of polished black parts and all it needed was cover it up to have tiny scratches all over the black mudguards and protruding corners.

I'm intrigued -- what was the price in Bangkok? Is it a special edition or something? Are there many PCX's in BKK?

They changed the colors a bit for the 2013 models in Thailand. Looks like the White/Red & Black/Red are gone.

Red is gone -- it's now in the shocks, brake calipers and in a sticker lining. Well, a matte black finish certainly needs a little bit of variation here and there.

Looks the same as any other matt finish on a road vehicle. Bloody awful.
You'll be needing a costume to go with that paint....

A lot of rear boxes have the matte finish also which would continue the theme.

Congratulations!

I like it. It's fine on a bike but admittedly looks crap on a car.

I think it looks great on the PCX, especially with the red accents!
