Problems with PCX125 Seat

Post by logepoge1 »

I am having problems with the seat closing correctly. I have to push down pretty hard for it to close. By the way I just got the scooter a month ago and got my endorsement today so this is the first time I have used it

Actually just a firm press down with a fair bit of weight behind it is better than wacking it! Mine latches better when bent around my XL helmet.

I had a problem last week with the seat not closing on my 150. Had to leave it in the parking lot for the day at work with the seat unlocked, still wouldn't latch for the ride home. As soon as I got home and went out to look into the problem, it had fixed itself! Guess I won't worry about it until it happens again!

:? No whacking! Like Taz, I give a firm press down with the palm of my hand (at rearend of saddle) and it engages every time. Honda let us figure this one out for ourselves.

Has anyone adjusted the catcher slightly higher to make it easier to click in?

Unlatching the seat is not a job, but sometimes I find it convenient that it doesn’t latch without effort. If I’m running errands, and am frequently diving into the under-seat storage, I like that I don’t have to unlatch it.

Latching is pain in the butt, but eventually you get used to it.
