I have to add my 3 Jack Russell Terriers to the pack. We've been parents to Jack Russells for 20 years now. When one set gets close to its time, we look for others that need a good home. People get these dogs for their kids without checking them out. They don't realize how hyper these dogs are.

Very cute dogs. Here in Oz they sometimes have Jack Russell racing in between races at the greyhound track. The little Jack Russells do one straight leg of the oval track with some jumps, pretty funny to watch.

Miss Pearl and Katie were breeding dogs that got retired from the kennel we got our first ones from. They have such mellow personalities that when the owner called us to say she needed to place her 'retired' gals, we jumped at the chance to get them. They had never been in a bed or inside. They house broke in 3 days and have been very content since then. As for Butch, his name says it all for him. He is Butch Cassidy. His pal, Sundance Kid, had to be put down due to a brain tumor. Butch was abused and starved and finally taken away from the owner. He spent so much time at Animal Control that it was his time to be put down, but a friend who works there called us to see if we would take him. He only weighed 11 lbs. when we got him. His optimal weight is 17 - 18 lbs. He has been 'my' dog since we got him. He climbs under the covers with me at night and goes to sleep. He will get up ever so often to patrol the house or go outside through the dog door for a short time. Then it's back to bed. During storms he will sleep with the other dogs on my wife's bed. We have separate beds because I don't sleep well after 5 back surgeries so when I take my pain meds I am out for 3 or 4 hours. My wife and the dogs stay up later than I do and she does not want to wake me. Between the back pain and my leukemia you would think that I was a wreck but I feel fine. :-)

Nice dogs everyone. I want to post up a picture of my German Shepherd. But shes too damn hyper for me to even snap a half decent enough photo of her. There's just something very different about dogs. You can't get mad at them no matter how much they destroy your house :P

Friend of mine's girlfriend bought him a puppy as a (unwanted) surprise present.
One day he came home to find the thing had trashed the place.
He took it out the back, shot and buried it then told her it had run off.

I don't have a dog, but I walk my neighbor's dog for a half hour every day.
Does that count?

I'm not sure since he is my neighbor's dog. He is definitely some kind of doodle, that's for sure.
I've either heard him called a golden doodle or a labradoodle.
I'm thinking my neighbors call him a golden doodle. He gets frequent hair cuts so he can see.
