MPG after 1st 1000 miles

I have noticed a huge difference on my MPG on the last couple fill ups. I know that there is a "Breaking in" period and am thinking that is what is going on with the added befefit for me since I reached a little over 1000 miles on the PCX150.

Nearly all fill ups over the 1st 1k miles, I averaged consistenly 78-83 MPG. Now I have reached 94.7 MPG on both of my last trips to the station. I am hoping this is going to continue, but was wondering if others have seen similar results after a "break in" period??

I did just add an Ermax windscreen on the very last fill up but that would be the only difference.

How you use the scooter plays a huge part in the consumption of a single tank.
Mine has varied from less than 80mpg to over 100mpg (imperial)

I consistently have had better than average MPG on my PCX, but that's likely driving style. It's normal to get better MPG as you get used to the bike and as the engine gets even further honed. I'd guess if you've gotten 95mpg on your last two rides, you'll likely stay around that MPG.

We have been going on long rides lately and uninterrupted runs usually end with a fill up. We have very close to 2500 miles on the scooter now. Our average mpg now is at or above 100 mpg. She has gotten higher. Just keep in mind that she may weight less than you, and there are other factors that could affect the mileage you get. Still, it does get better as time goes by. You couldn't ask for a better scooter.

Completely off-topic, I saw you and your wife turning into a gas station at the corner of Johnson's Ferry and Roswell Road. I was in my car, I waved but I don't think you saw me. If you noticed some kid and his wife waving frantically at you from a red Honda Fit, that was me.

I usually get over 100 mpg, the only exception was once when I rode for 4 hours going 55-60mph the entire time, then I got just under 100mpg. Usually I ride at about 40 -50 mph. I have about 3500 miles on my PCX. So I would assume the faster you go, the less miles per gallon you get.

I just had my 3rd straight fill up with higher MPG than any other under the 1st 1000 miles. 94.7, 94.7 again and 90.0. Was getting high 70's - to low 80's prior to that.
