6 whole pounds. 280 for the PCX & 286 for the PCX150. Same total weight carrying capacity as well at 348 lbs.

I must be lucky. My wife says her 150 has gotten close to 80 at full throttle. We ride together, with me on my Burgman 400 and her on the PCX 150. When we need to get on the freeway, neither scooter hesitates. I have hit 80 on mine and looked back....And there was my wife right behind me, within a car length and a half. Either my speedometer is way off or her little scooter has hit 80 also. When I asked her later how well the PCX did, she said it was at full throttle and she was not sure if that was good or bad for it. She was happy that it had that much power! We hate going on the freeway but we know that it can do it. Love this little scooter!

Most scooter speedometers (including the Burgmans) read 8-10% optimistic.... the PCX, however, seems to be pretty spot on. You're probably really only going about 72 mph and your wife is close behind at about 68, which is the correct top speed of the 150.

My 125 starts to top out at about 55 and sometimes crawls (albeit veeerrry slowly) to 60-62, but tops out at approx. 58 more often than not.

My 125 has touched an indicated 60 mph a couple of times but it usually tops out at about 59. That's usually fast enough for me.

All of my past Hondas have been nearly perfect with the speedos, maybe 1-2 mph off at speeds above 50. This included the Elite 110, SH150i, Reflex & Silverwing. The PCX has been dead on.

A lot of comparisons here between the 125 and the 150. How does the 150 perform mpg and overall cost wise? The 125 is absolutely staggering in terms of mpg. How does the 150 compare?

The 150 gets the same MPG or better. There is no advantage getting the 125 over the 150.

So some Honda history -- Honda released the Honda PCX 125 in 2011. In early 2012, they released eSP -- the technology they use in their engines today, and released a short run of PCX 125 eSPs (here's the announcement: http://world.honda.com/news/2012/212040 ... SP-Engine/). The 125 eSP was underpowered compared to the 125, so they bored the 125 out to 150 and tweaked a few things (airbox, ecu), then released a 150 with eSP technology. The 150 eSP we just refer to here as the PCX 150, because there is no need to make the distinction like there is with the 125.

The most efficient PCX is the PCX 125 eSP, but it's slow to accelerate and doesn't hold speed well. The PCX 150 gets the same or better gas mileage than the base PCX 125 because of eSP, AND is faster.

Hope that clears things up a bit. ;)

My wife's 150 has had 3 fill ups at 105.5, 104.2 & 103. Hers is still being broken in with just over 450 miles.
My 125 has had 4 fill ups with 111.8, 115.4, 107.3 & 111.7. We use Fuelly.
There is about a 30 pound weight difference between my wife & I but both bikes solidly in the 100s. Mine has 800 miles. Getting the same mpg as the little 50cc Metro is remarkable!!
