1st mod to my new 150 - thx to the reviews here

Post by Fez »

So I live by my watch, which I found to be a problem when riding! Needless to say a clock was on the brain and I thought to check here and found great reviews for Clocks4Bikes. Didn't take too long to figure that they made exactly what I wanted. Ordered really late Monday night, it arrived while I was at work today (Thur), and I installed it shortly after I got home! Told them how I heard about them and they said to pass along "thanks for the kind words". This looks like a quality product, backed by a great warranty, and service that is all too often found lacking these days. They have one more happy customer, and if anyone is on the fence about this product, don't be. I don't know how it could be better!

Wow! That's the same clock I have ordered for my red pcx150 so now I know it's gonna look hot.

Hot! Hot! Hot!

I live in Australia so have to wait up to 3 weeks for international delivery. Waiting.....................

Easy. Put the clock onto the bar where you want it. Tighten the screw with the supplied Allen key. Job done.

@SCooterKim, exactly what Alibally said. The most "difficult" part was getting it centered and at the correct angle that I was comfortable with!!

Whats the battery life like on these and is it a AAA or seomthing easy to find? My cheap eBay clock thermometer needs a new button battery every couple of months :(

Battery life is rated for 3 years. It starts life as a Citizen watch (guts) before they do their magic. The watch part can be removed from the mount and either sent to them for a nominal fee to change out the watch battery, or taken to your local jeweler/ clock repair. If you have the proper tools you can take the back off yourself and replace the battery.

I was on ebay when I came across this watch. I plan on ordering the exact same one for my husband's Honda Shadow and my PCX. Thanks for posting a picture, now I know how it will look.

I think this one has a light as the one I got doesn't and the clocks4bikes logo is at the bottom of the clockface on mine. They sure are very nice.

I just added the non-illuminated version to my PCX. The clock face is not very big, but I think it will do the job just fine.

Picture could be more crisp, but hand-holding at 1/4 sec is dicey even with stabilization. The flash attempt was not at all good.
On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!

but please, don't delete anybody, no matter how badly they deserve deleting :)

If you need to illuminate your clock to see what time it is you could purchase one of this cheap book reading lights and attach it to one of your cables using its clamp. Then you would only turn it on when you needed an update on the time. I went to a Dollar Store and bought a couple of those for various purposes like working on areas on the bike that needed a light. Great for things like that. They use a 2032 button battery that you can buy by the strip on eBay, Amazon, and other sites. We found a deal online for 25 of them for about $5. Cheap enough if you have a few of those lights.
Currently own:
Red 2013 Honda PCX150

Givi tall windshield & tailbox - Lots of extra lights
Custom seat from Thailand - Bad Boy Airhorn
Takegawa Lowering Shocks - Michelin City Grip Tires
Headlight assy upgraded to LEDs w/HS5 main bulbs
NCY variator, drive face, and rollers

I've done some research and found some other clocks.

Anyone tried this Aerostich?
