Due to my mechanical sympathy I can't sit on the limiter, I have to back off a couple of mph.
Uphill the throttle is on the stop.
Ridden like this the thing returns 80-ish mpg (imperial) with the last bar beginning to flash around 100 miles.
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong

Besides throttle control, the type of terrain you're riding will reflect greatly on your mph. The 100+ mpg I've been getting is on the completely flat roads that are SW Florida. Another big factor in mpg is tire pressure. I advise everyone to check their tire pressure at least every couple weeks, I think this has more to do with improved mpg after the first service than anything else.
