Depends on the machine, some are a lot worse than others, my preference for a 700 parallel twin would be a 360 crank.
The problem is that Honda deliberately made the NC/CTX engine vibrate, this is on the record, you will find this on Honda's website.
Single cylinder engines also vibrate but ride a Forza.
Once under way there is no vibration whatsoever at normal speeds.
This is because Honda chose to eliminate vibration.
And that's why I hate the NC/CTX motor, it could be made to vibrate less.
NVH, read up on it.

I traded my CTX700ND in today on a new Forza. I pick up the new Forza in the morning.

I liked many aspects of the CTX, but I just couldn't get over the feeling that it was just too top heavy at low speeds.

Interesting since the CTX has one of the lowest seat heights and lowest cg of any motorcycle made. I guess you would really hate something like a V-Strom.

Yeah, it was surprising to me as well because it felt really good to sit on. I loved the seat position. However, it still felt top heavy to me. I did a lot of research before buying the CTX700N and thought it would be perfect for me as my first motorcycle. But, it just wasn't the right bike for me. I'm sure it's perfect for a lot of other people though.

I rode the Forza today and it is awesome! It is the perfect bike for me. Although it doesn't have the torque that the CTX had (obviously), the Forza has plenty of power for me. It easily got up to over 60 mph. I haven't had it on the expressway yet, so I can't comment on highway driving, but at 60 mph it was really smooth. It feels much more agile and under control at low speeds (which is where I had problems with the CTX).

The Forza is very comfortable and super easy to ride. I feel totally comfortable (relaxed) riding it. I think this was a good move for me. The CTX was just a bit too heavy and big for me. The Forza is a better fit for my skill level.

I don't have the tall windscreen yet (it is supposed to arrive at the dealer tomorrow), but as soon as it arrives, I will have it installed. It really needs it when going 60+ mph.

I don't mean to imply there is anything wrong with the CTX700ND, but the Forza is just a better bike for me.
