Damien, thanks for all the pictures. The LEDs look great, and they look far more effective too!

I didn't know they made a turbo kit for the PCX, or are you going to prefabricate one?

As for your talk of brake mods, try removing the CBS (combined brake system) to unlink the front and rear brakes on the left lever and see if you can lock the tires. I can lock front and rear on the PCX with the CBS removed, so unless you're a lot heavier than me, adding more braking will just help with fade if you're braking a lot.

Damien - can you say if Honda have changed the service interval for the valve clearance on the new model? I think this was raised elsewhere but I can't recall seeing anyone know or answer. Thanks!

I can try to ask but the sales people weren't at all helpful or welcoming in comparison to buying in the UK.
They barely let me take it for a test drive, came with no fuel and I had to pay cash.

When I asked they said that to return the bike within 500km for its first oil change. I'm on 160km now so when I get the oil switched I'll enquire about that for you.

You can remove the mechanism, plug the hydraulics caliper-side, or just drain the CBS circuit of fluid (see this post: http://hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t ... 623#p27610).

Thanks, at the moment I'm just enjoying riding it.

...although I'm still waiting to get my number plate (license plate). Yes it still get used daily, laws are weird here!!

Today's update, hit a few pot holes and the suspension IS HARD, similar to my gsxr750. The Honda lead was a lot more forgiving with more storage under the seat. The pcx has racked up about 260km so far (mixed riding-solo/slow/fast/pillion) and down to half a tank of fuel.

I read that in Thailand they fit 13" wheels with fat tyres to compensate for crappy roads like here. I may look into this... I'd like the option to lower the bike buy and inch or so.

Update... 281km on 6l of fuel. Brakes feel better now they're bedding in. Bike feels like it has a bit more take off now the belt is bedding in also. I need to clean it still... Once I hit 500km I'll change the oil and take it for a hard blast before changing the variator and belt for something more appropriate :D

Was thinking of getting a White PCX, or red one, now looking at yours maybe a black one - decisions, decisions . . .

Next update, tank of fuel number 2 (7l) brought the total distance travelled up to 607km.

It is now due its first oil change and initial checkup which I'll get tomorrow.

Thanks so much for all of the pictures. It sure is a beautiful scooter. It looks like the headlight really lights up the front while riding at night. A giant plus. I'm all ready to go buy a new PCX 150 but I just found out it is not sold in the Philippines which seems very odd to me. Maybe next year they will have them here. Ride safe my friend.

The 150 is not available in Vietnam either. I think this is because they want to keep the 150 exclusive for the more expensive and unattractive Honda sh.

I called yesterday to honda chiswick and they told me that the new model of pcx125 will be available in May or June. Is it possible? On their website application is available to book test drive on the new model but when I booked they called me day after and refused service. They also said that they can only sell the old model and it will not be much difference between the new and the old.

As for me, is a complete nonsense.

Oh dear. To be honest I do still have a soft spot for the old shape but to be fair it is a pretty significant difference in the body which immediately makes the 1st gen seem dated.

Best be patient and get the one which you want. I'd only buy an older model used, then spend the left over on modifying the shit out of it. That is what I planned to do but the difference in price between a decent used one and a brand new model was about £300.

FYI, the one I bought cost 52 million vnd which works out at about £1500 ;) I still need to pay another £200ish registration.

Hi everyone

Had a 2010 PCX 125 and ordered a new 150 a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, I've had to travel for work, but my gf has just collected it. Can't decide if I want to let her break it in or wait until I get home to do it myself. Suffice to say, March 30th can't come soon enough.
