top speed gain of 3mph 8)
steep ass uphill speed gain of 5mph :D
improved mid-range(what I wanted) :D
"shiftiness" :|
belt wear? :|
mpg? :|
Here are the new "correctly installed" results.
top speed gain of 2mph, hey I lost 1mph :x
steep ass uphill speed gain of 5mph :D
improved mid-range(what I wanted) :D
"shiftiness"/ belt slip, not so anymore, smoother, but a little more shudder at takeoff :|
belt wear/mpg probably nothing to worry about 8)

p.s. not sure why I was able to get 73mph rev limit on the stand, and only 69mph rev limit on the road...
also I got my sliders at extremescooters.biz super fast and easy

Likely because the bike doesn't have the power to push it to 73 when it's up against all the air resistance at that speed. Air resistance is the main source of drag at speed, reducing it will make you go faster. If you tuck in, you might get closer to 73.
Currently ride: 2011 Honda PCX 125 - Upgraded windshield and seat, keeping this one mostly stock
Previously rides: 2005 V-Strom DL650, 1974 Vespa Ciao, 2011 Honda PCX 170 (tons of mods - takegawa 170cc big bore kit, gears, etc), 1996 Honda Nighthawk 250, 1987 Honda Spree, 2000 KTM 125SX, 2003 Honda Silverwing, 2007 Genuine Buddy 125, 1998 Honda PC800, 2008 Buddy 125 (white), 2008 Buddy 125 (red), 2001 Honda Reflex, 1987 Honda Elite, 1988 Honda Spree, 2007 Yamaha Vino, 2007 Honda Metro, 2x 125cc pure-chinesium dirt bikes

Sliders are marginally taller than rollers when placed in the vario, so in turn that diff will bring your pulleys bit closer together in stationary position which will force the belt to sit slightly higher between the pulleys on takeoff,so my advice is to get a small washer to offset that diff and id say .3mm washer would do the job. Shudder would be eliminated without any adverse affects elsewhere..
Also mpg and belt wear will be unaffected by running sliders in there and on the plus side sliders will outlive rollers by a long shot,so less top speed drop off over longer periods of time and more consistent transmition operation.

Well I got the Yuminashi speed booster variator v.2013 and gates reinforced belt installed and tested. ;)
It definitely raises the top speed possible(downhill  )
is it that much better than just stock variator with 12g sliders, not a lot, but it is better(for me).
I did not notice the shudder at take off(must be rollers vs. sliders)
It felt like midrange acceleration was improved on the flats, but the hills felt the same :) :| .

I got it up to 80mph on the stand before rev limit...:)
70mph(74gps) on the road, but it still had more...( ran out of road) 75mph should not be a problem 8)

Dasshredder, a givi short screen makes you much more aerodynamic and helps top speed a lot!

Hi, not really sure where to get them... hardware store maybe?
Even my Yumi vario and 12g rollers are making a bit of shudder at take off.
Sendler has been using the 12g sliders for a long time without spacers/washers. really not much to worry about. just vibrates a bit.

Mine didn't shudder but I added a 0.5mm spacer to increase rpm.

I got my yuminashi vario from pcxracing in france.
I've been wanting a big bore for a long time, but info for the 150 is really sketchy...(not usa).

Ya I was talking to Honda there should be a bore up kit from them soon. But they did say they could fine one. And if they put it in they will honor the warranty. I would just do it my self but that is cool of them.

Scooter dynasty said next year they will have a bore up kit for the 150.
I am 6 4 and 230 pounds so the PCx needs a little help with me on it my wife gets it to 70 with no
Problem where I barely get to 60 on it.
We will see how good the sliders do that may be all it needs.
