Is this a good deal?

Post by ghosteye »

I found a used 2011 PCX 125 for $1200 OBO. However, it has 25,000 miles on it. Used for a daily commute. If it is clean, never laid down, etc. would you folks think that this is a good deal?

Welcome to hondapcx.org. It would be a lot easier to answer that if we knew where you lived. US, Australia, Canada? You mention $'s so I'm thinking it is one of those three.

Don't be afraid of the miles. I have 23,000 miles on my 2013 PCX150 that I also use as a daily commuter, runs and rides like when it was new. Ask if he they have any maintenance records. If not, and it starts and rides smoothly, who cares it's a bulletproof Honda. I say buy it.

Oh hell yes, jump on that deal. If it runs and doesn't sound like hell, it's probably solid, and sounds like a great deal.

What are you doing? Stop reading this forum, go buy it. If I saw one that cheap, I'd go buy another even though I already have one.

Only thing to worry about when buying used would be the centre stand mounts on a pre-eSP model.
Other than that if it runs and doesn't sound rough, it'll probably be fine.

I agree. A workmates just bought a 2011 v1 and the stand is seized solid. He keeps spraying it with penetrating oil but is cautious about moving it incase the lugs break causing a leak.

I would be tempted to just cut through the stand leaving the pivot in place and discard the rest in case someone tries to use the stand.....

Seconded.

I removed my centerstand, and never plan on reattaching it.
