Another new Ohio Forza owner

Post by fish »

Coming from a Kymco LIKE200i LX to the new Forza.
Love this bigger scooter.

Put 7000 miles on the Kymco last year with daily work commutes and w/e rides.
I ride in any temp, any weather...but not if snow or ice on the road. Roadside snow, no issue - but not on the road. (can't afford winter Heidenau tires!)
Worked the dealer against a Piaggio BV350 dealer to get an OTD price of $5640.00.
Purchased a service manual ($30) and a box of oil filters ($15 ea.) and some HP4M oil for an oil change this w/e with @200 miles on the scoot. Will do the gear oil next w/e. Then settle into about every 1K or 1.5K oil changes. 1.5Qts of high quality fresh oil seems like cheap insurance to me.
Not sure how much servicing I will do on the Forza - did belts, brakes and brake fluid, rollers (Dr Pulley sliders), added a 929 Bestem lighted top case, crash bars, etc. to the Kymco - but will take it slow with this Honda. The lighted Bestem case was a very nice safety feature...might try one on the Forza. A second row of LEDs light up and the red light on the box top light when brakes applied. VERY good rear lighting! (About $110 for box w/lights and mount hardware)

Welcome fish! Good to see another Ohio owner!
I love my Forza! I am new to scoots. And I'm learning.
I thought about going to the Honda HP4S oil. What you think?
Says it's good in all bikes 2006 and newer.
Again welcome! Nice Kymco by the way!
Maybe we'll see each other around sometime!

Welcome!

I like the LEDs on the case... very good way to get noticed.

Hello, and thanks.
I think I'll just go with the oil listed in the owner's manual. Hp4M I think it is ( I'm out ridind, so not exactly certain the name of the oil...I brought home 3 qts yesterday..and got a box of filters in the post...have teflon gaskets so all set for my 1st change later today.)
Ride safe, Fish
