The belt has been rubbing the bottom of the CVT case during acceleration, even with standard unmodified setup. I have no problem with that. 1,5 years, 21.000km plus, two CVT belts (including what I'm using right now). Maybe because the engine is not that powerful to cause bad belt slapping (stock 125cc).

when i put sliders in the yuminashi variator which is machined stock parts essentially i was rubbing hard to the piont it snapped three belts in less than 3000 miles just trying to keep a fellow rider from running into the same problems

Snapped!? Wow, I hope nothing bad happened. CVT breakage is worse than broken chain. The probability of locked rear tire is high. the last time I changed the belt, it was snapped because of the driven pulley was ran out of alignment (worn). I guess, in your case, theYumi has bigger diameter pulley.

no i was lucky it just wouldnt go. the pulley was stock diameter but it was like you vario mod just more extreme

I'm using know Dr. Pulley sliders I installed it wrong once and it was faster until 70 and then the rpm drop a lot. With it installed correctly it's not so much quick but more linear.
So to achieve more top speed I have to mill the variator or it's the same if I shorter the vario boss the same mm?

AHA! somebody experienced exactly the same problem too.
You don't need to mill the boss as it will shorten the pulley ratio while shifting it up. If you read my post carefully you'll notice that using stock variator and DP pulley along with simple milling/filing will give you maximum ratio range, well almost, only approx. 1+mm bare metal left untouched by the belt.

Yah I did experienced the same but I installed it wrong because I had it correctly but I saw on youtube a video and I suposed that it was wrongly installed so I follow the video and as we can see now the video was wrong.

I'll try your method to achieve more speed. It's 3 mm to mill?

Can anyone confirm the correct size for the sliders? i'mm on ebay and there is 16x13, 18x14 all different ones :-S

I filed total for just approximately 0,7mm. Follow the virgin metal untouched by the belt. That's your maximum

I'm using 12gm DrPulley sliders in my 2013 PCX150 and my pulling rpm is 7,900. It accelerates better than stock and the top speed went up 2 mph at redline. I found no loss of fuel economy as it still rides through town at 5-6,000 rpm.

I want to change mine from 15 to 13 but I'm not sure if it's the same RPM as 150cc.

So it's less than 1 milimeter right?
I'll try to sand it until the mark of low belt position.

Yes, and file/sand/mill ONLY the right side pulley (the one with variator/slider/etc...). You DON'T do the left side pulley (pulley with fan blades) because if you do so, the belt won't be center anymore. An off center belt will twist and gets hot and break/snap.
FYI, sanding 0,7mm of aluminum is not an easy task. You better use file first. Filing with broad flat file also ensure you remove it relatively flat. The best method is to mill it on a lathe

Are you sure the pulley halves will really be touching on an otherwise stock vario after the milling? Did the belt wear track on them move up after you milled them? I ask because I had understood that the rollers in the ramps were the actual stop of pulley travel. And this is why DrPulley sliders create an increase in top speed at redline when installed. Because they are thinner in the area of the stop so they can move the pulley farther than the rollers could.
