Does anyone have a Givi E37 or E34 top box ?

Post by Scottish »

I'm looking to get one of the two but would really like to see a pic of one fitted so I can make my mind up...my only concern is the E37 is going to look too big.. :geek:

Anyone ?

So, did you eventually install the 37L model, Scottish?. I was in the same dilemma, whether to put the 34 or the 37 liter model. I was fearing the 37 liter would be a bit too big for the PCX and would look somehow "unnatural", but perhaps the difference in size between the 37 and the 34 is marginal. Ideally, I'd like to have a look at both but it's not possible in the town I live in.

My thought is to get something I can put my full face helmet and summer jacket in, or during winter, put the helmet under the seat and store my jacket/pants in the top box.

Sure did and very glad I opted for the larger E370, got one with silver reflectors, looks great and has loads of room, even fits my 15" laptop in it so i dont have to carry it on my back anymore.

I have one and get my helmet, armoured jacket and trousers left on the scooter while im at work. The helmet and trousers go into the top box and jacket under the seat,no problem.I use mine every day for work and this is what i do, so its tried and tested if you are considering the e37.

I have an E300B which is the best looking one available for a white PCX imo.
One like mine
Helmet and trousers under the seat, jacket and gloves in the topbox.
Sorted.

Thanks for the reply! ;) . I am also leaning towards the bigger option. Once you "ruin" the looks of the PCX with a top box, at least make sure it's practical.

I'm planning a trip round the UK coast for the beginning of July and I've been wondering if the E450 would fit on my existing Honda (It's a Givi really) 26lt mounting. I see that they are all 3kg max load - which is crap, but that's the combined weight of my tent and sleeping bag.

Just a quick note here, guys. The workshop supervisor at my Honda dealer told me that the original 26L top box is made by SHAD, not by GIVI. Unfortunately, SHAD products don't have a good reputation around here. My thought is that your mount won't fit the GIVI top box, Edscoot. However, take this a wild arse gues. I'd contact my Honda dealer and make sure ;) .

A lot of the mounts are "universal" and will fit any top box, for the most part. :)

the same mount works for my Honda 26litre as my E370, i think all monolock cases attach in the same way..
as for the 3Kg weight limit i'm sure it wouldnt fall off if you go slightly over.

That's interesting. I'd never heard of Shad. I'll take a trip to my dealer and see if a Givi will fit.

I installed my Givi E30 topbox in around an hour. It was easy. Looks just like the topcase in the first picture, except just a tiny bit smaller, and it still fits a full face helmet and maybe a couple cans of beer. Best of all, it's not too gawdy looking.

Guys thank you so much for this information. We have just purchased a brand spanking pcx in white, and I think the black top box E370 will look cool, but was worried it was going to be too big, so I'm so pleased to see a picture with someone who's already fitted it. I'm looking forward to finding out more information in the forum. I'm not even sure the best way to fit L plates to the bike! I'm going to fit the top box myself having seen the various youtube videos showing how simple it is. Thanks again.

Hey Knightrider, welcome to the forums!

If you scroll up a bit (or click here: http://hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t ... read#p4826) there are pictures of the e370 on a PCX.

A lot of members in the UK buy a plate to mount the front L plate to the front fork, it looks a lot nicer than sticking it on the windshield.

Thanks Maddiedog. I've already ordered the E370, and have asked the honda dealer to make sure he uses the plate to mount it to the fork on the front. Hopefully I'll lose the L Plates in about 3 months :)

Guys I will be taking delivery of a new Honda pcx next week. The Honda dealership will be fitting a Givi 30 Litre top box in white. I will post some pictures of what it will look like when it finally arrives.
