Seat ordered from bikerzbits not fit for purpose!

Post by Larry David »

I finally got fed up of wet arse due to water dripping down from underneath that hump and ordered a new seat from bikerzbits.

It arrived today. I've put it on only to discover there is a large gap around the side and you can actually see into the under seat area. Upon closer inspection the seat does not have a rubber seal around it like the original one does. I can't even use the seal from this one and put it on the new one as the new one does not have a lip for it to go into.

I've waited a month for this to arrive. I'm fuming!!!

Yes I think so. It's a rubber strip that goes all the way around the seat. It pulls out of the gap/lip it's in. However the new seat has no gap for it to be pushed into.

I'm not sure what you mean by bucket rim? The original seat has a gap all the way around which holds in the stick on rubber seal. The custom seat has no gap for it to go into.

First pic is the original seat. 2nd one is the custom one. There is no gap for the rubber seal to slot into

This is normal for replacement seats from Asia. Just pull the one from your original seat and it will have enough sticky left to stick it to the new one. I have done this to 3 replacement t seats so far and all have been fine. You could order a new seal if you want to but the one on your original seat works quite well.

Bikerbitz is great with their support, they have answered me same day. Give them a message if you need to.

Here is a picture of my newest custom seat. It did not come with a seal. The other picture is the underside after I installed the seal from my original seat.
