NCY Variator, Drive Face and Weights

Post by ScooterAddict »

Mel46
I listened to sound advice and installed the NCY Variator, NCY 13gram rollers,NCY Drive Face and new Honda OEM Drive Belt. I tested it on the centerstand with no load and WOT was at 79mph. Out on the Interstate going down a long grade 76mph. It was real windy out so that's all the testing I did. My number 1 goal was more topend and I achieved that.

Now I need a PowerByPCX seat. I would love to find a good used perf exhaust.

Thanks again Mel46,
Scott

You are welcome. For comfort now be sure to get a windshield that will give you comfort against the wind, and then get a good seat. If you didn't have anything specific in mind for a seat, I have a seat one of the members sent to me that was de-humped, and some of the remaining stuffing was removed so the she could touch the ground, so it is a flat seat. If you want it, I will be glad to send it to you, but you will have to pay shipping. On my present seat I purchased a square gel pad from Walmart and covered it so that I could have some padding. It works well.
Otherwise, http://www.mpmotorseat.com has some nice seats as well as Powerbypcx, com so try them both. The same manufacturer makes them for both.

I just donated to the 'Forum' Mel46, but I can't send you a private message. I guess I need to post more. But I guess you should be able to contact me.

About 3 -5 kph slower than a 125 with J Costa. Depending on your weight.

Mel46! I took your same great advice and installed the NCY variator and drive face, and I hit 74mph on the freeway!! It was awesome (not a word I use lightly!). Of course I was tucked behind my Givi medium windshield, but I was laughing out loud for 20 minutes. Thank you for your advice!

This is what the forum is all about...helping others. You are all welcome. I am just passing on what I learned from others, and which I then applied to my bikes. It is always good to know that you have the extra power when you need it, like on the freeway. I have to say Thank You to all of the members who spoke so highly of the NCY products previously.
ScooterAddict, I will see what I can do about contacting you. I know that you have to have a certain number of postings before you can pm. I am not sure what that number is. Perhaps someone else on here can tell you.

ScooterAddict, this is what that seat looks like that I told you about. It isn't fancy, but it is free...aside from shipping. Don't worry about the dimples on it. It was sitting on some boxes upside down. They are smooth now.

Did you lose any mpg with the mods if you were to drive the same?
