Interesting. I am guessing that it is for in town use only. Imagine what would happen if this was on a freeway with large trucks.
Currently own:
Red 2013 Honda PCX150

Givi tall windshield & tailbox - Lots of extra lights
Custom seat from Thailand - Bad Boy Airhorn
Takegawa Lowering Shocks - Michelin City Grip Tires
Headlight assy upgraded to LEDs w/HS5 main bulbs
NCY variator, drive face, and rollers

   it only works in vertical rain, more of a bimini top for sun right? Why is it so tall? If you go for a slide does it take you along for the ride 8)

:P Heh Taz! CB 500X Rider...how the heck are ya? Long time no post. How's living life with your 500? Still enjoying it? Missing your PCX? You could always Buy another, but make it a 150 this time ;)

So you popped in showing us a roofed pcx.... I think it's funny, at either angle. Did you see it "in person?" Did you give it a go?
Stike one - You and I both know it would look far better in White! 8)

The passenger foot rests are out so there must have been a passenger as well. That had to be uncomfortable. Oh, and the latch is unlocked on the tailbox. Delivery AND taxi...multipurpose bike. Only in Japan.

You're right Mel, and only in Japan could they leave the box unlocked, they have almost nil thefts. The crime rate is one of the lowest in the world.

It appears to be a cultural thing, shame the rest of the world can't follow the example.

I wouldn't be surprised if the latch is open because he is on a delivery and the box is empty. I see it all the time in Bangkok with food (and other) deliveries.
2010 Honda PCX 125 in Thailand (White) - "White Lightning" Sold in Sept 2017 :(
2009 Yamaha Majesty YP400 in USA (Metalic Titanium) - "The Throne" Sold in June 2020 :(

Hi Whitenoise,
Yes Im still enjoying my CB500X. I was in Japan for a week and noticed many scooters with roofs there, not just the PCX. I was surprised not to see many motorcycles there though. Anyway Im glad to share the photos of the PCX with a roof. My last day in Tokyo it rained all day so would have been handy.

You could leave it unlocked where I live no problem. Nobody is really interested in scooters.
