Supposed to be better than Hood (whcih are very good) as they are lighter in weight but offer the same all over protection - there's video's showing someone weraing them and being dragged four times at verious speeds by a bike and surviving with only the outer denim giving way.

Re: Kevlar Jeans - any good?
Though I do not have Kevlar jeans...and wish I had when I had my accident...I can say that I did have regular jeans on, plus knee braces I purchased at a local drug store, plus a back brace and my Kevlar Tourmaster jacket. I was doing between 40 and 45 mph when I had to dump the bike and roll on down the highway. The jeans tore wear I kept my wallet, and I had road rash on my hip, but otherwise I walked away with no injuries. The jacket was the key. Also note that I did have protective gloves on and high top protective sneakers, and they were skinned up but remained in tact. So, everything worked like it should, but I did end up with some road rash on my hips, so those areas would be the most in need of protecting. Leather would work well but be very hot in the summer. Kevlar jeans would work well if you could put protective pads in them in the right places.

Don't wear skinny jeans when you've got rickets I say.

I've been wearing an armored Joe Rocket jacket for a long time, more recently started wearing Scorpion Covert Jeans - including the hip and knee armor. Maybe not the very best, but certainly helps.

I have banned my two boys from wearing skinny jeans. I told them, "When I said you would spend the rest of your life trying to get into women's jeans . . . THAT is not what I meant!!!!!"
