Oh yes

I haven't seen sun in Yorkshire for 13 years

And I've lived here for 13 years

When there are gaps in the rain we do see a faint circular glow in the sky

Some say it's the moon

Somehow Yorkshire poetry recital reminds me of the poetry in The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy movie ;)

Vogon poetry has nothing on an NHS meeting

Fuck yes, Douglass Adams is a gentleman and a scholar. Or at least he is in my opinion. I hold him in the highest regards.

It's always fun explaining to people that there are actually 5 books in the trilogy, and that they should shut up because we all wish there were even more.

Don't knock it, I think I'm getting a tan. Good job as I looked whiter than Michael Jackson

Actually it's been sunny for the past couple of days. Crazy :D

Sunny for the past couple of days where you live? You must be going crazy. Are you in a padded room by any chance? :P

Reading the great thread from the other side by pcxdeamon on his mods, now looking at upgrading the clutch torque spring by 10% and getting some lighter rollers or sliders. Plan on keeping the stock variator.

I mostly commute in the countryside so very little city stop/go. But I have several hills (including the odd set of switchbacks depending on how I go to work) and want to increase the pull out of corners and overall acceleration. Tends to bog down when slowing to 40-50 going around sharp uphill corners so feel the need for more drive. Top speed is not that important as all the roads I go on have a max 80km/h limit. The magic number of 8000rpm has been throw around but recon even a boost from the standard 6250ish rpm takeup to above 7500rpm should be enough. From keeping an eye on the tacho, it feels like there is good power being made around there. Just have to try and keep the ratio of roller weight/clutch torque in a sweet spot.

There is a good write up in a German scooter mag using 13g sliders on the Dr. Pulley site:
http://www.drpulley.info/Pulley_docs/Te ... R_1207.pdf
Good impression on the acceleration and a slight speed increase (from google translate of Conclusion: Dr. Pulleys square vario rolls bring in almost perfectly matching PCX a clear plus in top speed.). Thinking originally on 12g but already been recommend 10g. 11g sliders may be what I go with if I can get them.

Other option is to play with rollers first as cheaper and I don't really need the top speed increase (but would still like it :D ), then go sliders later if I feel like it. Dunno yet.

Honda have done a great job on this one, but I want just a few tweaks to suit me.
Is just about perfect for what I want (no, I don't want a bigger bike). When I get some bits I will let you know.

Nobody...
Awesome looking tach! :)

That is nice. Still thinking I may get a Takegawa variator at some stage...but not soon.

Want to start playing around with a few more weights but bloody skint at the moment. May wait for the 13th month salary next month and get a set or 2 of mid weight rollers to test. The stock with just the up-rated contra is not bad as that is what I'm running at the moment. But I miss the zip of light sliders, may put em back in for fun.

Also, got the tach from SIP in Germany. One delivered is slightly different than the web site but I like it more.
