Usually best afterwards, if before the project tends to get delayed or not started at all.

4 hours goes fast when yer having fun and the beer afterwards certainly tastes better than under normal circumstances! You deserved "a cold one" or 2,3,4
??? Did you run into any snags or break any plastic tabs in the process? They Are a bugger! One goes this way, another one goes that away. Lift here, pull forward...no wait! Pull backwards. No!! Pull up! Arg!
Nothing like a quiet strip down  dress up scoot day :D Fonda's looking her Fabulous self again. Camera shy? Nah, she ain't.
I'm certainly happy you shared with us. Nice thread!

Right at the end, I was putting the easiest part back on (the grip rail top) and the clip just pinged off.
Couldn't beileve it, literally the last tap. But two part apoxy solved that problem.

Is it a diploma or a degree you have in stating the bleeding obvious?

Cheers. It's rather fun to strip the scooter down and put it back together. I keep looking at it thinking of mods or upgrades to certain parts, If I do i'll keep you all informed.

Oh dear lord. Takes me back to my airfix days. I'd sit for hours trying to glue the tiny chairs into the cockpits... and when it went tits up i'd just jam the lot into a gluey ball of rage quit!

You've done a fantastic repair job on your PCX. Hard to believe it ever suffered a crash. You must be delighted with the end result. Must be a great feeling having it back to former glory?

Well done

Stephen

I'm so happy to have it back. She wasn't even 48 hours old when it happened. I still had my smile on my face of owning it....didn't last long lol.

Got used to the Duct tape and even the banana shaped brake bar but so glad I decided to do the bodywork myself. My dealer wanted to charge me upwards of £500 for the parts and upwards of £300 for the fitting. I wouldn't of seen much change out of a grand! but I saw change out of £300 for the parts and accomplished the task.

I really hope no one ever has to experience a spill, but if they ever did; they should put their trust in their own ability and have a go at repairing their scooters themselves.

Help is on this forum for sure.
