Ouch. I was lucky enough to get TDI(Temporary Disability Insurance), and my employer is waiting(quite desperately I imagine) for my return. Not because my job is so valuable, just that my manager is utterly incompetent and managed to lose 5 people in a department of about 15 or so in the two months I've been out.
I also had a small sum of cash set aside for college or "just in case" money. My MSF instructor did tell us that there's those who've crashed, and those who WILL crash. So it seemed prudent to have money set aside for medical bills, as well as parts replacement.
