My 2018 pcx is just coming up to it's 3rd birthday and has done 4500 miles to and from work without missing a beat. 😁

My 2020 purchased 1 year ago at the end of this March, sitting in the garage being a total garage queen has only 475 miles...yep, 475 miles. I'm hoping that she still starts and I can do a lot more riding this year.

Just been for its latest service- think the belt and rollers are on their last legs, but the annual MOT inspection is due in a few weeks so I'll get those done then. Rear shocks were replaced, electrics behaving themselves (touch wood). Now sharing commute duties with the Xmax 400, but still doing 100+ miles a week on average (at current MPG, the Honda won't manage five days commute and the Xmax will, though the Honda is obviously still cheaper to run). Will probably look at getting another 300cc+ bike and saying goodbye to the PCX when the motorway works are finally done (60 mph on a 70 mph road is Not Fun).
Oops. Famous last words. On the motorway returning from work, belt snaps, get home in a recovery truck. That got replaced…then a week or so later, going to work on a Monday afternoon, fortunately just before joining the motorway, and with a layby to get out of the traffic, it just died, won't start again. Cue a three mile walk home, then a month of PCX-free life as the issues were (eventually) resolved. Finally got her back today. ECU replaced (£40 used one rather than £468 new), and whatever gremlins were in the wiring have been expunged. Variator was on its last legs as well, now replaced. 50,252 miles, now ready for more.

In the UK and europe where Honda charge reidculous prices for parts and spares, of all the rip-offs the ECU has got to be the most outlandish - whatever is inside it and it's probably a simple processor and other components, cost to manufacture must be very cheap. Even complex electronics that used to cost £500-1000 can now be had for almost give away prices.

You're not wrong. Very simple electronics in a hardened box (cheap to produce). The whole bike only costs £3k!!

50,375 miles done, and so am I with the little bike that could. Sold today. The electrical gremlins weren't dead- left and/or right and/or high beam sporadically not working (very helpful on dark country lanes), and trying to fix it was exasperating my garage. It will hopefully be getting TLC from a patient new owner- probably easiest to rip out and replace all the electrics! I'm selling my Yamaha R125. Next up, an Xmax 300 or Forza 300, I think. In the meantime, my Xmax 400 is racking up the miles…

My 2011 PCX has 21,500 miles on it now. Had it 5 years but its just been sat in the garage for the last 18 months as I've been working from home.

Fired up 1st press of the starter (although it is on a battery tender). Still runs sweet and has given no bother.

Only thing I'd be worried about is stale fuel - 1-3 years before it goes spongy apparently.

Yeah, concerned me too. Trying to use the stuff that's in it and it's running perfect at the moment.

Everything stock? no rebuilds whatsoever? Which oil are you using specially for winter?

greetings!

If it helps, my 2013/2014 is at 80,000km (50,000 miles) - everything stock - no rebuilds - no loss of power.

It's had oil changes every 4000km throughout it's life. Burns a little oil with city running but burns more at wide open throttle (but no real change over past 30,000km). Current estimate is that it probably averages 800ml of oil burned every 4000km (exact amount depends on the running it's had). In reality that equates to checking it after I fill up with fuel with (perhaps) 1 or 2 spot checks inbetween depending on how fast I've been going.

I use Motul 5100 4T 15W50 year round.

Hope that helps.

Oh thanks that's good news! :)

Now I'm getting closer to 40.000km because of my job I'm driving ca. 70km (43miles). Nothing done to the engine. Only regular oil changes every 5.000km (3106 miles) with 10w40 oil and Air Filter every 10.000km (6200miles)

The good thing is tho, the bike doesn't suffer that much. On average, I ride the bike at 40kmh (24mph) :D

BTW, I'm using E10 fuel

About 3400 miles. A 2015 PCX 150, that I bought in Jan 2020 and it had 725 miles on it then.
