It is the law in most countries now to have the lights come on when you start your bike. You can add extra lights that you turn on with a switch but I would not mess with the factory installed ones.

Please add your location to your profile babisbabou, directions are below my post.

As far as your question, it's a new one to our forum(s). Check with your Motor Vehicle Dept's motorcycle laws before thinking about "switching" things around. We are factory set by Honda and appreciate the light 8)

Do you still need this? I took pics when the shop (idiot ) installed mine. I understand the OP, it's illegal to have your lights on during the day. When you get flagged down by the police you have to pay a bribe.

What?? You should check the law yourself to see if someone is feeding you a line of bull. Almost every scooter and motorcycle manufacturer now wires the headlights into the ignition switch.

Well, it seems the law is crazy in Cambodia (like so many other countries these days) searching google it seems the visa advice for bikers is clear for that location:
'You can not ride with your lights on in the daytime (but you can ride without them at night)'
Most other places it's either law to have them on at all times or it may not matter.
So, if purchased locally, the bike should comply with local laws, but if brought in then it's a real problem.

You're not in Kansas anymore.

Hahaha, law? If you get flagged, you pay. It does not matter what the 'law` is here. Over here you pay, it does not matter. If you try and fight it, you pay. Victim of a crime and need a report, you guessed it, you must pay. EVERYONE in Cambodia has a wired light switch.

Hmmm...well, if you must ride with them off, there is a somewhat easy solution, though it may require that you take the bike apart if you can not reach the connector.

Your bike may be a little different from mine. I know that newer bikes use LED lights, but the concept should be the same.

On mine if you look up behind the headlight there should be a connector plug. Unplug it and see if your lights come on when you start your bike. If not, then you found the correct connector.

Note: your turn signal may be connected through this same connector, so you will need to allow for that in your adapter cable.

Once you have found the correct connector you only need to create an adapter cable that plugs into that connector, with a switch between the original plug. If all of that works like it should, just make sure you have enough wire length on the new adaptor to attach the switch to the handlebar.

You only need to run the low beam headlight portion of the original wire assembly through that switch. The turn signal wire can be a straight through back to the other end of the connector.

See if this helps some:

I wish that I could explain it better or be there to help, but this is the best that I can do right now.

In case you can not read that included wiring diagram, I do not know what the position lights are, but the low beam light seems to only need the white and black wire. (Green is always ground on the PCX). I thought the plug assembly would be better because you would know more about those position lights than I would, since my bikes are 2013 models.

If the position lights do not matter, then just cut the black & white wire (not sure if it is white with black stripe or black with white stripe) and put an inline switch in.

I resized that small wiring diagram just now so I hope this copy is more readable.

I have mine set to daytime running(light is technically off) The outer perimeter led stays on when moto is on, when I flip the light switch, the actual headlight comes on. Definitely looks better IMO this way.
