Need some advice ? Motorcycle Speakers

Hi All
I have owned my Forza 300 now for approx 2 months and I love it !
My question is I want to install some speakers for music when riding around London and my home town.
Can anyone advise please, guessing this would have to include a suitable mount as well for my mobile !Everyone I’ve seen attaches directly to the bars which of course you can’t see as its covered in plastic.
Thanks in advance
Peter..

You really don’t wanna do this. It’s almost impossible to hear music above 20 miles an hour, You have to hack all aspects of the bike, and when you stop at stop lights, it becomes a pain in the ass for everybody else. The better way is to put Bluetooth speakers in your helmet, there is another post here in the last week discussing that:

I have a Sena 20S Bluetooth Headset suitable for an iphone sitting in my cupboard and I'm happy to give it away for the price of the postage. I had it in my helmet for approximately 3 months and it worked fine. I changed helmet brands and the unit wouldn't fit in the new helmet. The only drawback is I live in Queensland, Australia, and postage to the US would be approximately US$30.00.

Hi ForzaPete! I see you don't have enough posts on our forums (15 min) to pm member JohnL.
I took the liberty of sending him one on your behalf, pointing him here.
Let's wait a bit now for his response.
In the meantime would you please add your location to your profile? It helps us to help you now and later. Easy directions are below my post.
Thanks and Be Well...

I use a speaker on my rides... I can hear surrounding cars and traffic better than ear phones or helmet music. I like the freedom of hearing the stuff going on. When I approach a traffic stop I lower the volume not to disturb anyone else.Works for me and less wires .

I use a Bluetooth speaker, the Aomais Sport II you can find on Amazon. It has a screw hole mount on the bottom so I got a bar clamp with a screw mount on the right side of my handlebars so the speaker sits perfectly in the middle of the handlebars. Its not gonna sound great on the highway, but I can at least hear it enough to make out what song it is up to 70 MPH. It’s really perfect for just cruising around the city at 45 or less though. I think to get any louder you’d have to wire up an actual amp that runs off the battery which I personally didn’t want to do, but the Aomais has served me perfectly well both on my Forza and clamped to the mirror post on my ‘85 Elite to add some tunes to my scooting.

1kg Satchel GBP23.50 (I've allowed GBP1.00 extra for conversion purposes). If you need insurance add GBP3.00

Delivery time quoted, 8 business days, but with the disruptions caused by the virus, I would assume the time quoted is aspirational, likey to take a couple of weeks.

If you want to go ahead please pay with Paypal.

Regards :) :) :)

John.

Airfreight is a bit problematic atm. Shipping less so.

Freight is being treated as priority once it arrives in the UK.

It’s probably best to take a pragmatic view on when it’ll arrive and be prepared to be pleasantly surprised if it arrives earlier than expected.

Hi Pete, It looks like we were both expecting information from each other. My apologies for the mix-up. My Paypal address is: greatjohnl@telstra.com

Obviously I'll need your name and address also.

Rest assured I'm not in the business of ripping people off, particularly on a public forum like this ;) ;) ;)

Hi Peter, It's packed and wrapped, I'll get to the Post office today and send it.

Not exactly sure of delivery times at present with all the global upheaval.

Kind regards,
John.

Australia Post Tracking: http://www.auspost.com.au/track

Australia Post tracking No. LK991366581AU

I would leave it a few days before checking as Australia Post is not renowned for its efficiency.
