Small storage area near dash will no longer close.

Please see attached picture. It doesn't seem to catch anymore when you try to shut it so it just stays open. Any idea how to fix?

There are multiple fixes for this but your first responsibility will be to see how the latching actually works to determine if the latch assembly is broken. If so, then you will need to either replace the assembly or find a substitute for the broken part. My guess is that the top latch broke, so now it has nothing to hold the door.

Meanwhile, roll up a small piece of paper and wedge it between the door and the frame. That should hold it temporarily... or duct tape.

Hondapartshouse.com should have the latch assembly. For my '19 it's under $10.
