I didn't bother changing my belt.

From what others are saying, it sounds like sliders will work just as well as replacing the variator. The most economical route to add a bit of speed may be to just swap for sliders.

Umm no. Sliders will add 1-2mph if lucky...The best thing with sliders is they will outlast rollers by 10-1 at least and they do improve midrange feel.
Variator swap or gear up are the only ways to increase top end speed. Inmo if installing new vario then its a must to install a new belt especially if the old one has already few k miles on it...

The gy6 is amotor used in almost all 150cc chinese scooters that is based on an elite 150 from early nineties. Parts are not interchangable and i wouldnt if i could.

Ok, back to my question: who sells a variator for the Honda PCX 150 and do they have a website? I am considering buying one in the not to distant future.

Let me know how it works. I just looked on their site and don't see one for a PCX 150. I came across this site and wondered if they had good products.

Yuminashi is supposed to be the best product hands down. Pcx racing out of France can ship to you or motorsports nation here in the states. If going with webike the suggested variator would be takegawa.

I look forward to your review.
My sliders have left Taiwan. The real wait starts when they land in SA.

I'm goin to compare the stock variator with 12g sliders, the NCY variator with 13g rollers and the yuminashi variator with its 12g rollers. At this poin I have fitted a takegawa exhaust so I'm going to do the other comparisons to give a feel for the performance change.

How about adding "yuminashi variator with 12g sliders" to the list, if you have the time? :D

Can one get a reasonable comparison by doing a WOT test on the centre stand?

Yes and no Wingz. There is an extreme amount of vibration with the center stand, however it definetly will show the gear ratio advantage.

I noticed the vibration...
Is it caused by the engine or wheel unbalance?
