Stator inspection, replacement or rebuild and/or the reasons why that is necessary.

Tried searching for videos (any posts at all actually) about this, and unless I am mistaken there seem not to be any in any part of the forum.
I am hoping that I am wrong, so before I go farther, please help me with...

recommended search terms.
recommended posts/links.

Interestingly there are not PCX-specific stator related videos on YouTube, either.

Asking as I am having cold-starting problems, but no idling-stop/restarting problems.
Recently had my first breakdown (that is bike failure, and not a disassembly).
Engine stopped while riding.
Would not restart.
Bike made no sound while I tried to start it.
In the end it seems to have been caused by a failure to appropriately tighten the drive-pulley retaining bolt after the 60,000 kilo CVT servicing.
It came loose and the bolt; the pulley it retains came into contact with the crank case (CVT cover).
I wonder if this put so much strain on the stator or starting system when I repeatedly tried to start the bike, that I have weakened those, if such a thing is possible.

Many thanks for whatever you can offer.

PCX-in-Japan,

It looks like this thread may have some relevant info...

https://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?p=149392#p149392

Ultimately, this guy replaced his stator and fixed a no noise/no start problem. Let us know what you find.

Cheers

Thank you very much.
Been too busy to check this site in a timely manner, but will check the link know.
Seems the starting problem may have been a starting/ignition (while running problem) about which I have just made a more detailed post.
Thanks again.
