INSURANCE - MCE INSURANCE - ANYONE HEARD OF THEM?

Post by Lynny74 »

Has anyone heard of MCE Insurance. It is a UK based insurer. I did a quote search of compare the quote type of website and they came up more than HALF everyone else.

The "it's too good to be true" warning bell went off in my head.

I currently use Devitt, they OK but expensive.

If you are UK based who do you insure your beloved with.

I have 5 years no claims which I want protecting, fully comp with legal and not bothered about courtesy bike

MCE are a broker.
When you insure through them the policy is underwritten by a totally different company.
This is normal and How It Works.
MCE will be no better or worse than any other insurer.

I think I will steer clear then.

It's irritating enough getting insurance.

I haven't passed my bike test, not interested so ride on a CBT. Been doing them every two years and I am happy with that but the insurance companies cannot put a category in when they ask you what licence you have for those who have done the CBT. I have to put in provisional, well it's not a provisional.

Grrr

Don't let that one thread put you off MCE, like I said they're no better or worse than any other insurer.
