From what I remember, the Clubpcx website was originally created and hosted by "Corsport" based in Colorado.
Now it just looks like Corsport decided to get rid of the forum and point browsers to their retail website.

But to answer your question, No I do not know what happened.

I agree. After just a short time on this site, it felt much more like a community :) , unlike the other site. :(

Yup, noticed that a few days ago. What happens to all the posts made by members? Why did they not mention their plan of "shutting down?" Another bad. Now just a store, and probably planned.

they never had any interest in the PCX other than to make money selling. i found them to be jerks from the beginning as well before the split and new forum.

it really sucks for the people that spent the time and effort posting useful information that the site has just disappeared. it shows how much respect they have for their members.

i recommend a boycott of their PCX products in light of all of this!

There is probably still a google cache version of the forums where you may be able to recover some of it

Sounds like I was victorious. ;)

I'm sad to hear it's gone, I had over 1000 posts there.

I haven't had time to look yet (and might not for another few days).

I'm hoping post quality won't decline. I really would prefer not to have to enforce posting quality guidelines, but will if I have to. :?

No need because there's not a problem in that respect, the stuff appearing there is all OK as far as it goes, just wrong! (you know me)
