Modified PCX125 in Thailand

As I was driving in Bangkok today I saw this PCX and just had to stop and take some pics. Apparently he hasn't done anything to modify the motor. He extended the frame and added hydraulics to raise an lower it. The hydraulic switches are in the small compartment in the front and the other related controls are under the seat. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it was pretty cool to see.

Pizazz!
I would seriously entertain that color on my scoot! I also like the tail scoop, but not liking the stretched frame. I'd be leery of its safety. Thanks for taking and sharing the pics kram! I rarely see customizing anymore :( However in the South folks custom design just about everything on wheels. I guess the (almost) year round warm weather gives them more opportunity to do so (and of course,.....their wild & karazy ways) Good 'ol Boys...Cheers!

It is definitely year round "warm" weather here. Bangkok has been dubbed as the hottest city in the world. There are other cities that get hotter high temps, but it never cools down here. I have lived in BKK for a year and a half and the coolest it been overnight is about 73F (22C). The one damper to riding is rainy season which begins in about April/May and goes through to October/November. This year it seems to have ended about a week and a half ago. Early in the season it is usually shorter rains but in September it turns to heavier rains on pretty much a daily basis. It differs in other parts of Thailand as well. But generally, riding season is from January to December. ;-)

Nope, that's a bike wheel. It is pretty crazy with some of the mods here. I have downloaded pics from about 40 bikes that have been customized and might put them on here at some point in time .... maybe a "bike of the week feature."

Ya, the welding took away from the overall look once you get up close.

If I recall correctly, it was one exhaust and a double cone going to a single pipe leader to the breather.

Very interesting. I wonder how it handles with the suspension changed so much.

That's a good idea. Nice bit of relief from the "which brand of oil should I use"
