Ordering bolts etc

Post by logepoge1 »

Where can I order bolts and such for this? Lost one of the screws that holds the grab rail cover. Lost one of the battery bolts. And missing a couple of other non essential bodywork bolts as well.

Our dealer sucks here. Only dealer in the area. Really prefer to not go to them because they try to talk down to you and make you feel like you know nothing

When I lost a bolt I went to my local Home Depot with one off of the bike and had them match it. They couldn't match the color (black) but otherwise it worked without any hassles.

Check your local import junkyard, they may just give you the bolts for free. :)

Bolts are generic. Unless they are chromed for instance.

Or a special like this

Image

So it is a question of finding the right store? NAPA? Schucks, Lots of shops have bolts. Lawn mower, Chainsaw, Although we only have ourselves to blame. "It's cheaper on-line " is the universal cry. So all the small speciality shops disappear and then there is nowhere to buy small items like bolts. That being said I found five pages of hardware and tools suppliers in and around Ruston. Ruston Industrial Supplies Inc?

Doesn't sound like any of the ones you need are special. But if absolutely stuck for a special one let me know with description and picture and location on the bike. Can't send you a PM.

I ordered 500 stainless steel bolts of all sizes from eBay as a replacement set for a cg125 and I'm still using them when I loose bolts to this day and I got them about 3years ago, always handy to have lots of spares.

Also when I broke up my last car I kept all the bolts in a big box and they come in handy to as thread is the same.
