I would love to get an extra 10-15 mph...... Mmmmmhh. Would 25cc do it?

The problem isn't the cc, it's the fact that the PCX is deliberately designed to do no more than 62.5mph (100kph)
If Honda wanted to they could build a 125 scooter capable of 85mph.

Im surprised no one has come up with an electronic work around on the limiter yet.Cars have remap options soit sohuldnt be too hard on these i reckon.I suppose its probably not easy to to mod and make money from it at a reasonable price.

The real problem with squeezing performance out of the PCX is the two valve head.
The faster 125s have four valve heads.
As I have said before, if you want faster than standard, trade it in for a 250.

Its got a new fuel flap???
Didnt really see an issue with the old one, but it is pretty cool, wonder if anyone will be retro-fitting it.

I wonder what the performance/mpg figures are...

I still can't stand that black and red...

The new fuel flap is a big improvement over ours -- the fuel flap on my bike I feel like I have to pry open half the time.

I wonder about mpg too. It'll probably be a couple of years before the 150 version makes it over here (or at all), so it might be awhile before we hear any figures. :(

A good review of the 150 here : http://www.motorcycle.in.th/article.php ... -150cc-PCX seems to indicate top speed of 110-120km/h (around 69 - 75 mph)

150cc! Fuel flap! Get some R'n'D on the seat for Christ's sakes. The whole World is sick of getting a wet arse. Oh, and a clock.

Wow, I didn't think we'd see it in the US anytime soon, if ever. No MSRP yet, so I wonder when the 2013 PCX150 will be available? Very tempting 8) . Black is sharp, but candy red would be very nice ;)

I wonder what the difference in the motor is, maybe different piston, injector and ECU? If so, wouldn't be too bad to just upgrade our 125s.

That would be pretty awesome. I'm really disappointed that only a few years later they come out wIth this. I would love to be able to get my pcx on the highway. It would make my life much easier sometimes. Hopefully easy upgrades for the 125 will be coming soon. It doesn't look to me like there is much difference between the two, hopefully parts will e easily interchangeable.

Here's Honda USA's link to it, for convenience: http://powersports.honda.com/2013/pcx.aspx

They took the PCX 125 off their lineup too, so it looks like our 125s are discontinued. :(

:(
are you making an educated assumption on this or is it a verifiable fact? assuming its true, why would it be restricted outside the EU zone? ive always assumed the reason for the restriction is to ensure the reliability/ longevity of the engine, as its not deigned for prolonged use above that.

Sorry got my A1 and A2 mixed up.
It is a verifiable fact that the PCX is an A1.
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/Le ... /DG_178483
Quite why Honda choose to make just one specification of PCX 125 (WW125-EX2A) for the Whole World (another verifiable fact) is a question you would have to ask Honda.
The restriction to A1 is absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with mechanical longevity, it's all about licensing class.

so I wonder if they will still make the 125 for some markets and the new 150 for US and other geogs...

still not convinced that the restriction has anything to do with EU classes or regulations on this world model bike.

@ Taz,

i would be extremely surprised if they bump the japan version to 150 and the 125 is still listed on the japan website. under 125 is a very popular category in japan because insurance is MUCH cheaper and lots of motorcycle parking garages will only take up to 125, bikes, etc. i wouldnt want a 150 for these reasons. for most of the world a 150 version makes a lot of sense!
