The '14 model I spring loaded to stay open a little more than half way. We all can straighten our handlebars and open it all the way. That wasn't the point.

If there was a PCX 200 would you go for that in preference to a Forza...?

At least for me Pcx size with more power and similar economy. DEFINETLY. I think most of us would.

What was the point?

that the seat springs open about 6/10 of the way and holds itself open

So you don't need to hold it open with your head?

Nope, no head needed... ... ... I'm sure we can order the new seat hinge itself to fit to our bikes for those that really want the feature :)

I have my handlebars tilted a bit back so they don't knock on my huge windshield. My seat doesn't stay open as a result, and has dropped on my head or hands before... I'm going to look up the new hinge, anyone know if it's just the 2014s, or if the 2012 150s have the same hinge?

Yep, it's a new feature. I have a 2012/13 PCX 150 and its seat doesn't stay open by itself.

I think Honda came up with the new facelift because of competition -- the new Vespa Primavera is out and it has the same neat spring in the seat.

Thanks for the clarification, khaosaming. Now we wait for Honda to release a microfiche and parts guide to see how much the upgrade costs and if it's compatible. ;) The assembly for the 2011 model is roughly $30, so it may be a very functional, cheap mod.

I remember seeing a keepy-open spring accessory being discussed on here before?

The drivetrain seems like it's completely unchanged. Larger battery but that's under the seat.

My hand is up. PCX200, would be brilliant! :) In "Dream" version:
Prefer White: with seat that stays upright on its own when "put" there (in any bar position), a gas flap that pops open when it's released, a comfy pocket saddle, removable backrest, unbreakable center stand, a clock, taller perhaps wider windscreen, lit key area, easier panel removal, rear rack, tie down points, cup holder, GPS, 2-12v accessory ports, accessory hook, wider tires, non-corrosive parts, less frequent service intervals, bigger petrol tank, add "those" custom side hard cases, 8) easy adjust safety bars (like on me bicycle "quick release" wheels), a saddle and grips warmer with thermostat would be glorious! Did I forget anything? Oh yes, Could you make it Real & under 310 lbs. please? ;)

Edit: Adding: more "see me" lighting or reflective paint? Recessed signals (thinking I'm done now, hmm)

But neither does mine. And that's my point.

Mine has got a few of these things

What are safety bars?

Be dammed if I know  How'd that (safety) word get in there? Merely asking for quick adjustment to the bars without risking safety. By George, I think I've got it! :? Do I?

If they put quick release front tires on it you would come out to no front tire one day after work. Most of the other stuff mentioned would be great. Look how long it took for Honda to realize that there were things the average person didn't like about it though, before they changed it. I wonder how long before the engine size will increase. In America we are asking for a 200 cc, but Europe and Asia run Honda's changes. With 125 cc being a standard in Europe, I think getting a 200 cc will be up to the third party industry. Too bad. I would really love one with 200 cc's.

Yuminashi makes a big bore kit and a stroker crank that combined total around $900 usd and enlarge you to 218cc. Thats cheaper than a new scoot and would put you around 16 hp at the rear wheel im guessing without a larger intake, injector, camshaft and exhaust.

Granted that market also has a cbr125r and a cbr150r. The cbr150r is higher performance than our cbr250r if you look at the top speed aspect by about 20mph if i remember correctly.
