Hello guys I love reading your forum
And posts .
I am the owner on pcx 150 2013 around 1500 km fairly happy with it
I was reading about the new pcx 150 2015 and the improvements .
Do you think it's worth upgrading ?
If I had to sell buy again would need other 700 eur
Is it worth the upgrade ?
The clock hazard and led sounds nice but
I guess same engine same braking ...
Any thoughts are appreciated .
Thanks guys !

I have a 2010 PCX 125 (they had them out in Thailand then) with just under 16K kilometers (10k miles) and have seen the 2014/15 PCX. I had considered selling mine and buying the new one, but for the slightly different body style and the various upgrades offered, I don't consider it worth it being that most of my accessories/mods won't swap over, so I would basically have to start from scratch with those.

I would imagine that you would take a pretty good hit on the trade being that yours is a 2013. You would have to decide if it was worth for basically the same bike.

I've got the new one, bought just over a week ago. The only reason I feel it may be worth keeping with the 2013 for a while is to see if and when a service manual appears and if any issues develop. Probably not as it's basically the same Esp engine with some ECU changes (auto idle stop cut-off if battery gets too low) and wiring changes for the new features i.e. hazard lights.

Many thanks Iceman.
Basically I am waiting for a quote from the dealer.. which could be around 3,300 EUR!
I bought my 2013 pcx 3k pracitically new...
so I need to sell for around 2,700 otherwise could be not worth to pay 800 EUR for nearly same thing?
Any more comments?

It's only euros :? ... if your going to trade up now is the time before your 13 depreciates any more.
and I doubt there will be any 14/15 specific issues... it's just a pimped out 13. ;)

Would be a complete waste of money imo.
Get a Forza instead.....

Like others have said, the change is mostly cosmetic except for the bigger fuel tank... it's nice to have the increased range.

If anyone who is thinking of "upgrading" to a 2015 and wants to sell their 2013 at a good price, then let me know...

Oh, I already have a Forza and plan to keep it.

Both bikes went to the welder last week. The engine is out of the donor (SH150i) and all the parts have arrived. The only major part we have yet to order is the rear hub. We need to make some measurements to check the offset of the rear wheel before ordering that. We now have the rear axle off the donor, so we can send it to the guy to make the rear hub.

I will be posting updates in my bulid thread at TR.com

I am still looking for a used PCX150i to do a Ruck swap (if I can find one at a good price). If I get a new (2015) PCX150i, then I'll likely ride it for a year or two before swapping the engine. I might just put the Forza engine in a Ruck at some point... not sure on that though. I do love the looks of a Ruckus though. Wish Honda made those with a 150cc engine from the factory.

I personally think it would be a waste of money. You'll lose a ton on selling your current PCX and would pay a massive amount more for such little improvement to the bike. Go bigger (Forza) or stick with what you got!

I agree that I wouldn't waste the money to upgrade. If you are going to upgrade I would go with a larger scooter.

I've tested 2 days ago the 125 and the only thing I didn't like is the rear lights!

Top speed is less than 2012/2013 model but it felt more powerfull at 80kph. For example you are cruising at 80kph and twist the throttle you will feel the bike pull. On mine from 2013 at 80 I twist the throttle, the bike goes but barely noticeable.

The top speed of the 2014 it's about 110/112 on flat and downhill and 0-80kph is slower than 2012/2013n model.

Trading just because of the new upgrades doesn't worth it.

So, you believe they've tweaked the engine management to give it a bit more upper-mid range pull but lower top speed? 112kph is nearly 70 - most people say the 125 max's out 62-65mph?

Trade the PCX in on a Forza of the same colour and she likely won't even notice. :o ;) :D

Of course they tweaked. It's in the specs for everyone. 2014 model max torque até 8500 rpm and in mine it's at 8000 for example.
