The Silverwing is like a big comfy sofa and the NC is like riding a Fergie tractor with a bar stool for a seat.
I know which I would rather go touring on.
Not sure that you've got the weights correct, have you added in the farkles on the NC?
Mr Google says 218kg dry for the FJS and 218kg wet for the NC.

Thats your opinion gn2. I find the NC seat perfectly fine. Got a sofa at home where it should stay :-)

Glad you are able to put up with it, there's no way I could.

Even with my sv people moaned about the seat but I did 650 miles in a day with no issue. Must have an iron butt :-)

I sat on the NC before I bought my Silverwing, the seat's almost the same to me. It was way less comfortable for the passenger though.

Keep in mind I'm around 150lbs, I don't need a wide seat to be comfortable. I've done 500+ mile days on my PCX seat without my butt going numb too, while some people complain about going 2 miles on it with the hump on there.

If I wanted ultimate comfort, I'd just go with a Goldwing, but I might as well buy a convertible at that point. ;)

Are there enough hours in a day?

I have the DCT version of the NC700X. I am averaging 64 MPG US. Only have 618 miles on the bike. And now it's in storage. I just changed the oil, oil filter, and the DCT transmission Oil filter. The seat is absolutely useless for riding over half hour. A Corbin seat and pillion seat is on order.

I have a calsci medium windshield with custom mounting, as the supplied hardware uses the Honda stock wellnuts and these will fail at highway wind speeds. The wind now goes over the top of my helmet, I can just look over the top of the shield.

I want the Honda side cases, as they have extremely minimal mounting hardware still on the bike when you remove the bags. I do not like the Givi options.
