Has anybody tried a Honda NC700 yet?

I'd be interested in what people think of them.

Can you buy these yet?

They hit the dealers in January (April for the DCT) apparently. I'm most interested in the 700x myself.

I wanted to look at both of these too.

The 700x will come to the US, but I like them both. Just wasn't sure when they would be available and no dealers here had any information. Meanwhile, I sat on a CB1000R and couldn't help but buy it, was on sale and I was too weak to resist. Would have liked to see the real world fuel mileage of the 700x. Not too much info yet, but supposed to be 70 mpg or so. Was wondering if they tuned it for economy so much that it wouldn't go very well.

There's three of them.

NC700S
NC700X
NC700 Integra

Only one that might interest me is the S
Possibly good fuel economy and long service intervals.
Wouldn't want a DCT one though.

GN2, the only working link out of those 3 was the link for the X.

Nice looking bike but is that supposed to be a windscreen on the S? Needs an Ermax or Givi!

I think it's only job is to deflect the worst of the weather off the instruments.

I need to check pics of the instruments anyway. Looks nice. I was considering a NT700V but may wait to see what this one is like.

The instrument binnacle is a digital type dash.
Personally I would have preferred mechanical analogue clocks.

I like the NC700X, very cool looking. I think the Integra just looks dumb though.

I'm not too keen on the beaky look of the X and the Integra is just a joke.

agree on the integra... but so far the only one of the three that will be available is the NC700X and that wont be until June or July. I would be interested in the S myself, but seeing that its not going to be available, I have directed my obsession to the X... I will have one one day =]

I saw a NC700X at the dealers yesterday. The "beak" isn't really very noticeable when you're standing next to the bike. It looks nice. It's got the same dipstick design as the pcx, I couldn't see any window for checking the oil level. So I guess it means doing the whole run the engine, leave the engine, check the oil thing. Also, it's right on the side and would be tempting for anyone to meddle with when the bike is left alone overnight or something.

I can't see the 700X doing much off roading though, it looks like the bike equivalent of the BMW X3 and other soft roaders. It could manage a grass car park or picnic area but mind the plastic on the sump guard :(

Bump!

I'm thinking I really, REALLY want a NC700S or X with DCT and ABS. Honestly I'd dump my PCX in a heartbeat if I got a great deal..

I saw one at the dealer near here. Gah, what a beautiful bike.

Anyone seen mpg figures on them yet? If this thing got 75-80mpg...

Those saddle cases and the big screen really round out the bike IMHO. Personally I'd probably go for the NC700S, but I'd have to testride them both to be sure. As for mileage, I don't think you can realistically expect more than 60ish US mpg (70 Imp) out of it if you use in town or on highways, but I've seen people claiming better mileage.. I'm guessing that if you'd ride on country roads and keep to 50 - 55mph, I think it could very well do more than 70mpg!

It has 8000 mile service intervals.

Yup, but then I wonder, will they have to check the valves on every service? And how are they going to get to those valves, eh?
