A tax disc holder. Since 1921 it's been a legal requirement in the UK to display a tax disc for a vehicle, usually inside the windescreen for cars, vans, etc, and a small holder for bikes. As of today, no longer needed in the UK as the paper disc is phased out. You still need to pay the tax though :) - but it's checked by police against your registration (I wonder if forged reg plates will increase - best not have you reg displayed on-line).

aren't they done with the tax disc now

The vehicle excise duty was introduced in 1889, and between 1920 and 1 October 2014[7] had to be evidenced by the display of a tax disc. From 1 October 2014 the physical tax disc was no longer issued and enforcement of the taxation is through the ANPR system.

I totally forgot about that, i'll take it off tomorrow,
I was thinking of keeping it on, as it's red and carbon (red goes with my bits on the Bike)
but i'll have red on the Rim Stickers soon so yeah.. might take it off :-)
(thanks for that post, again, totally forgot it was from today)

Got my Rim Stickers from Italy today, missing a few red ones though so had to email them to say, hopefully they'll post them out asap!!!

the front 2 sides are perfect, the left rear is nearly done apart from ONE red strip,
and the right rear is missing all the red stickers!!!

Looks good though, cant wait to get the missing ones!

Oh perfectly beautiful black PCX :) SHINEY very SHINEY! What a fine display of style, and your eye for detail is out standing! I really need to draw your attention to that last image, if I may speak frankly... what's wrong with that picture?

Seawater (or Sea air) can handily corrode stainless steel. ;)

Sorry, the last photo? reflection? urmmm.. not sure which bit you mean, but the Bike is next to a Boat so might be something hanging from that.....

and the Disc, I know :-( awful, was like that when I bought it, i'll be buying a new one soon though to replace it! I like everything shiny and looking new, so yeah, the Disc has to go, rather a nice new one there!

My disc was going a bit like that and I use a Brillo pad on it to keep it rust free.

Good. They should be willing to fix their mistake free of charge.
