Diesel spill?

Hi forum,

Just looking for a wee bit of advice. Was coming into work this morning, it was dry though the rear tyre appeared to slip out on roundabout; I wasnt going too fast or slow and suspect it was a bit of diesel from the buses.

What is the actions on for hitting a patch of diesel if your already on it? I tried to stay relaxed and kept hands off the brakes but still wobblled, got a fright and knock of confidence.

Cheers.

Diesel is really slick - even in front of the pump sometimes on concrete.

Approach roundabouts, junctions and fuel station exits with caution.
Never ride over a stain, it could be water, it could be oil.

yeah, but if you cannot/haven't seen it and you're already in it; what's the best thing to do to avoid falling off?

Mount a trailer hitch ball on the seat. o_O I have suggested the same in our homebuilt airplanes.
