Hello All! Stock grey pcx, now with one mod...

Post by barljo »

Hello from the Isle of Man!

Just getting used to my first foray into two wheels, and really enjoying myself- finally had a dry day! I'm excited to discover all the add ons available for this little fella! Just a standard seal grey one, but I'm claiming the fact that I've just screwed a clock on as a mod as I'm very new to this!

I'd signed up for 'the other forum' before I found this one linked, and I'm fairly sure as to where I'll spend most time ;-)

Finally managed to resize the pics. The debris is what I refer to as the backyard!

I agree! But as I'm not a practical kind of guy (I touch things, they break), and it cost me £10 (about US15), I was happy to try just that for the moment...

More add-ons and a nicer clock (I promise!) to follow.

Got to admit the PCX could do with a clock. Would have been good to have one as part of the dash, wouldn't have cost Honda much and I'd happilly pay for it in the retail price.

Are there any other clocks out there?

I did like the look of the clocks on that greek-based site a lot of the guys here like (they are www.clocks4bikes.com I believe), and I've seen a UK based site also called time4bikes.com

In the thread below, Al69 found and fitted an LED clock, which I'm tempted to attempt at some point!

Shoulda took the clock off mine before i sold it, completely forgot about it. I would have given it to the first person on here that wanted it.

The led clock is easy enough to fit if you can identify a negative wire from a positive wire and only cost £10. The only thing i can complain about it is that it gains time but no big deal resetting it every now and then.If i was more into the the scooter thing i would probably have pulled the whole dash off and found a way to mount it somewhere inside but couldnt do with the hassle. As i have a higher than standard seat due to me reupholstering it is perfectly in view where it is now.

Just another addition. Background to this is that my vehicles are generally named after computers in fiction, and also that I'm a big Terry Pratchett fan. Culmination is that I refer to my pcx as Hex.

Reference here if you enjoy reading daftness:http://wiki.lspace.org/wiki/Hex

In any case, a new sticker arrived today- pic attached.
