pcx is long gone

She needed so many things at once tires brakes valve adjustment and ec etc. So I sold her. I may get a 2018 pcx. Is the 2018 any faster then my 2013 150? On huge hills my pcx slowed down to around 50 mph in a 55mph zone. Do you think the 2018 can keep it at 55mph?

I believe the newer PCX (15 model onwards) are slower than the non LED ones due to one internal gear mod by Honda.

Trying for the last bit of squeezings out of any 150 might not be the way to go, again, on your route.
A 200 or a 300 would work well in that zone.
So many trying/wishing/building for more from a small scooter. Buy bigger and relax.

Know what your needs are and go from there. Better to have too much than too little depending upon the situation. Saves you the hassle of motor upgrades later on. . .. 8)

Hi eggman, all good things come to an end. She served you well. Time to roll in another's hands.
About the new and improved 2019 PCX, I don't have one but I imagine the few here that do may answer "about the power." Wait a bit for their replies before pulling the throttle on one of these babies (my color choices :D )

I have said it before, but I will say it again: the PCX is an ideal around-town scooter. It is built for the city. It turns quickly, and it is easy to find a parking spot for it. It has plenty of storage for shopping.

That being said, my 2013 model tops out at 75 mph. It took very little in modifications to achieve that on it. The 2013 model is the fastest of the PCX models because of the gearing.

What it is NOT built for is freeways and high speed roads. It is a light weight scooter, and as such it will be subject to crosswords and big truck drafts. If you can only have one bike and you need to travel on fast roads, this is not the bike for you.

How many miles did you have on the 2013 PCX?

IMO, the design and looks of the 2013 was the tops for the PCX. The dash and gauges look like something you find in a race car.

I swear once I have more room in the garage I will seek out a 2013 150

Re: selling the bike because it needs this and that . . . in four years of PCX ownership, front brake pads and oil is all it's had so far and at preasent done 220 trip miles and still showing 2 bars! Hardly worth selling a pcx as it needs very little to keep it going.
Ok, so I have purchases a service kit i.e. belt, filter, plug, rollers, but not fitted it yet and I also have a new final drive bearing (clutch thingy) as mine is very noisy, but also not fitted yet.
Total cost of ownership in terms of service over 4 years+, less than £200 as I bought the bearing and new clutch pads from outside the UK.
